Home depot and Lowes doesn't have this battery and on-line they want $101. for it, might as well buy a new trimmer.

Check on the web. The Ryobi battery is made by Hawker Energy. They call it the Cyclon sealed lead-acid battery. The part number for the Ryobi specific one (OEM) is 0859-1008, but the generic number for the same thing seems to be 0859-1008. I found it on several web sites for $55-$65 + shipping. I have not bought it yet, but the best price that I found was here: http://www.bestlaptopbattery.com/viewbattery.cfm/Sealed-Lead-Acid/All-vendor/0859-1008.htm

I have no connection with this company and have not yet ordered from them. It's the best price that I found ($62 including shipping), but I'm still not sure if it's worth it.

How do I get the old line trimmer spool off of my Ryobi 18 volt cordless trimer

When looking at the head, you will see to two gray rectangle pieces. Press them both at the same time between your thumb and forefinger and then pull. It should come unlatched and reveal the line spool on the inside

When I charge my battery in my RYOBI P110 charger ,the yellow and green light comes on. There is about 5 volts in the both batteries. On the charger it says read the manual if both lights stay on . I don't...

I had the same problem, my understanding was that since the batteries are nic-cad, they have a memory so in short you are supposed to charge the batteries only when they are depleted. They have to be COMPLETELY depleted the first 3 or 4 times of use. I ended up replacing the two I had, followed this and have not had any problems since. Hope it works for you.

I believe my Ryobi 12 VoltBattery Line trimmer need a new battery

First, check to see if the charger is working properly. To do this, recharge the battery for about 15 minutes. Then check to see if it now runs the trimmer. If so, then you have a bad battery. You can go on the WEB and find a replacement. These batteries or sensitive to heat and cold. When storing, try to place it in a comfortable environment. Sorry for your loss. If it still under warranty, check with the Co.
