First off, determine if you have an Acer Iconia A3 tablet or an iPad.
If you have an Acer Iconia A3 tablet, then connect the HDMI port to a good quality HDMI version 1.3 or better cable. Make sure the ends match the sizes you need for your tablet and television.
If you have an iPad, call up the genius' in your local store to get them to walk you through how to hook it to your television.
Next, start playing something on whichever of your tablets, music, video, or some other type of media. Make sure to test before hooking it up that it is something that actually plays on the tablet you have, and has video and/or audio. If nothing plays on your television, then check the cable connections are properly seated.
You will need to go to My Computer. Look for the Sound (settings) you will see speaker volume and then click on Test. Once set also click on Computer volume and see if it is turned up.
Check the TV for a PC input cable. This can be the HDMI cable input and will work to have a HDMI cable from your Acer to your TV, no diagram is needed.
Your Acer laptop has a 15-pin VGA port on the rear. It may also have a S-Video and/or a DVI-D port. Any of these can be used to connect to a television monitor. None of these connections, however, supports the sound portion of the signal. You will therefore require two cables, one for the video, and one for the sound. The sound will be a regular 1/8" stereo jack on the PC side. You will need to look at the TV to see what types of connections it accepts. There may be HDMI, DVI-D, S-Video, or RCA connections. Select a cable which matches the connections for each end for both the audio and video.
You will need an HDMI cable. Connect the laptop to the television and on the television, you will need to change the "Source Input" setting. Select the HDMI setting on the television and everything that you see on your laptop will appear on the television.
Sound? You not going to get but picture you will get.
You need to lower the resolution in your display properties then try again.
if you hooking it up via hdmi make sure the resolution is set for the low first then you can adjust it later.
Well if you TV is compatible with HDMI then that is all you will need, HDMI supports extremely good video and audio quality. But you need to make sure your TV settings are correct and any software needed for your TV to sync to your laptop are being used. Ex. my samsung LCD HDTV requires that I use their sync master program with my desktop to run it on my TV under the DVI source channel.
After you connected the HDMI Cable to the TV...Did you press the FN + F4 Key on the keyboard... The first screen you will see is the notebook screen is blank and the TV has got the desktop on top of it...The second time you press the FN + F4 then you will see thedesktop on the notebook and as well as the TV...The third time you press the FN+F4 you will see the desktop on the Notebook...
If you have a tv with HDMI use the HDMI port on the left side of the laptop. Change the sound output to HDMI first if you want to output sound through the tv.
