Hooked up to computer, got red charging light for a min, then charging light went off. I tried the speaker, but only got intro sound, before powering off again. Hooked to charge again, no red light at all.
Batteries are holding back the 21st century. I have the older model of this and my battery went bad very fast. Now I have to keep it plugged in and not just any usb port will work it has to be a usb power supply of at least 2 amps. I keep mine in a 2100mA usb source.

that depends, when you bought the mp3 player did it come with an USB charger?
also, do you have to put batteries in it?
if A is true and B is false it is charging, else check the manual or post the actual name of the mp3player in here

Sometime electroncis can be salvaged if they are not turned on again until after they are dry.
The electrolytes...(sugars, salts) can cause the electric current flowing through the device to arc accross connections causing a short. It may be too late to save your iTouch, but for the future if you can dry out the device before trying to turn it on again with a blow dryer or napkins or whatever you have handy it may save it.
Try drying it out and then turning it back on...it may or may not work as the damage may have been done already.

If the archos was purchased new from Archos stores they have warranty on them call tech support to find out. Have your serial number and product model number handy.

Mine looked like that, however, it has 2 "on" buttons. The major one on the left. says on off. Put to on. Then the upper button on the right, is actually the on off/ push and hold for 3 sec. then wait, it should come right on.
