When you did a reset the RCA lost the code necessary to authenticate (confirm) the connection. You need to review data on resetting codes in your manual. IF you can't find that information; then contact the manufacturer for assistance, or try YouTube.
It will say Authenticating problem unless you have the passkey to the other WiFi networks. So unless its your WiFi or an open network you won't be able to connect.But you can try rebooting your device.
Make sure your tablet is updated on all its apps and software. If not and it has missed an update your tablet and it will show a authentication and wifi error.
Authentication often means "password protection" for the specific wifi connection. Usually your software will present a "dialogue" box telling you a password is necessary and give you an opportunity to enter one.
"Authentication Error" usually means when you are clicking on the desired wi-fi network and putting in your password you are making a small error in the password. ChecK:
a - You are putting in the correct CaSe. Most are CaSe SpEcIfIc so if it asks for "F" it means "F" and not "f";
b - You are not leaving any spaces before or after the password (some tablets especially seem to leave spaces.)
c - You are possibly putting in the Router Password. This is useless! you need to out in your Wireless Network KEY.
It came with your ISP letter or on a little card or is printed on the router
in the form of:
Name (SSID) Goodwombat45837
Key: HG56TY78JK88
You would type in HG56TY78JK88
Note hg56ty78jk88 would FAIL, you have put in lower case.
You don't know the password to your wi-fi protected setup. They changed the password when they changed your equipment. Ensure you have the correct password and that you are not too far from the access point.
