Recheck your wiring and check your ground. If all that checks out then triple check your control board. Also the motor SHOULD have a reset button make sure that the button is not out and it is fully pushed in

SOURCE: Treadmill running board crack

No fix but to replace it. Go to iconservice.com, click replacement parts, enter your full model number (on a decal somewhere on the machine), and you can order it there. If you decide to order and replace it, I can give you some guidance. If you're handy and have tools, you should be able to knock it out.

My belt has stopped working, but all other functions are fine. I've removed the motor cover, but now what should I look for?

Try to check the carbon brush of the motor. If it's OK then the motor control board would be faculty

Why my treadmils start working and and stops

Hi There, sorry to hear of your troubles. Could you mention what brand and model of treadmill? If this is a Horizon treadmill with E1 error, like models T101 and others from the years 2011-2013, there is one thing you can try. Unplug the treadmill and remove the motor cover to get to the Motor Control Board, or MCB. Be certain the treadmill is unplugged from the wall! Now, look on the MCB on the right side there may be ONE small blue "block" with a tiny screwdriver slot in the center, this is called a potentiometer, and if there is Only One, and a Horizon MCB, you can turn this pot to the right, clockwise, gently until it stops, and then back it off just a hair, reassemble unit, and try treadmill. If this doesn't help, the MCB most likely needs servicing due to failing storage capacitors which get quite hot while in use and can degrade over a few years of service. You can find some help by looking up jatinah electronics, who repairs these modules. Good Luck! ;o)

Why my treadmill keep slowing down

Cybex 530 should use the Pulse Power motor control boards. These boards are notorious for loosing gumption due to degraded storage capacitors on the MCB or lower control board. The deck/belt resistance plays a huge role in the demise of these capacitors. You can have these MCBs repaired at jatinah electronics. Good Luck!

My treadmill turns on but completely cuts out and trips the house fuse box.. whats wrong

Either your Motor or Motor Control Board(MCB) is faulty.
Try testing your Motor with a Drill Battery:
1. Disconnect the machine's power lead from the power socket, so that there is no power to the machine.
2. Open the Motor Hood.
3. Disconnect the Motor + and - leads from the Motor Control Board.
4. Connect + and - leads(normally Red and Black) to the Drill Battery.
The Motor should turn the Belt.
With the Motor leads disconnected from the MCB, you can connect the machine to the power, Press Start, and if this trips your Fuse Box you know its definitely the MCB.
Only carry out these tests if you are competent.
Lethal Voltages are present.

Ls treadmill wont start

If the steps to reset the UCB and MCB when the "warning phrase" phrase appears is being done correctly, then the issue is with either of the two boards.

The UCB (upper control board) is in the console unit and is most likely not the issue, its the information center communicating the key controls to the MCB (Motor control board) under the motor hood. The MCB is a common issue on many machines. Check all the cables and connections for any burning on the cable ends or connections, this would be an issue with "dirty" power - bad power source.

Many MCB issues come from not vac out the motor hood often enough and dust shorts the board out. Also, machine should not be run through an extension cord or off an NON-dedicated outlet. Both are associated with "dirty" power.

The MCB is similar to the brain of the machine. The front roller and speed sensor work together to calibrate speed in relation to what the motor believes it is operating at. If there is a contridiction the MCB will either produce an error code on the display screen or adjust the speed of the motor to the correct speed. IF the roller is operating faster or driving the motor faster then the motor want to operate at it will usually trip an "over speed" error.

The issue is probably with the MCB, not a cheap a part. Try and find your machine on FitnessRepairParts.com for a price qoute or have alocal service tech from the store you bought it from come out and fix it.

Worst case scenerio is you replace all the expensive parts and find out it the data cable from the UCB ot the UCB or the power cord. Most companies supply the appropriate numbers from their tech website
to be determined with a multimeter.

I have a life fitness 95 ti. when unit is turned on it cycles through it's diagnostics then displays communication error. at that point the unit stays on but does not start belt. this is an intermittent...

one of two possibilities
one unplug treadmill ,open up the hood and make sure the main power plug on the motor control box is inserted properly then power up treadmill and see if problem is solved
two , the motor control board (mcb) is burned up, the most common cause of this is lack of waxing causing too much friction between the belt and deck board . if you have an auto waxer they clog up if not cleaned at least once a month
if this is the issue a resistor on the mcb usually is burnt
you can check this by removing the mcb out of the steel box , you can usually see the damage and/or smell the burnt electrical odor
if this is the case you need to get the mcb repaired contact glide fitness product in santa ana california 1 866 637 4600 to get all details and options, they have repaired many for me . be sure if you do this that you remove the wax board and small electrical unit on the outside of the box and put them in a safe place as you will have to put them back on the new box the cost is $200 which is a deal considering a new one is $1000 note that glide has a non clogging wax available to resolve this friction issue
good luck

two , you have blown the overload resistor on the motor control board (mcb) to check this unplug treadmill and remove the steel motor control box from under the hood remove the motor control board from inside the box and inspect it for damage and /or electrical burn smell
if you find damage you will need to get it repaired contact glide fitness products in santa ana california 1866 637 4600 for all information including shipping . it cost $200 plus shipping which is a deal since a new one is $1000,i have many repaired by them
a common issue for the overload to blow is friction between the belt and deck board . if you have an auto waxer , the waxer nozzle is usually plugged . the nozzle should be cleaned once a month
contact glide for their non clogging wax to resolve this issue

One of our Life Fitness 95 Ti treadmills had smoke coming out of the front and after cutting the power and letting it cool, upon plugging it back in, the Motor Control Command Bad prompt came up. Any help...

remove the motor control box from under the hood, there is the motor control board (mcb) and capacitors inside the box remove the mcb and check for damage and /or burnt electrical smell also inspect condition of capacitors (4 round cylinders)
if this is the cause you need to get the board repaired
contact glide fitness products in santa ana california 1866 637 4600 for all information including shipping details i have had many repaired by them .the cost is $200 which is a deal considering a new one is $1000
the most common reason for mcb's burn up is a resistor blows due to overload caused by too much friction between the belt and deck board ,and that could be the result if you have an auto waxer nozzle that is plugged up . these nozzle should be cleaned out once a month
note that glide has a non clogging wax to eliminate this issue you ask them about this as well
if you have to send out for repair , make sure you remove the wax board and small electrical component on outside of box and keep them in a safe place as you will need to reinstall them on the new box good luck

Treadmill trips electrics

Check to see that the treadmill does not draw more amp than stated in the owners manual. If you are, then the problem is in treadmill. If not try another circuit in the house (not just another receptacle).
