The remote model number doesn't help directly. This remote controls several Sanyo TVs including the DP46142 and DP32242. Manuals Lib has the owner's manual (copyright 2012) here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Sanyo-Dp46142-77711.html . Press Menu (below and to the left of the arrow keys). Select Setup (the icon that looks like a satellite dish) using the left/right arrows. Press the down arrow and go to ANT/Cable setup. Press OK (in the center of the arrow keys). Use the left/right arrow keys to make sure that the Ant In line is set to Antenna. Press OK. Go down to Auto Setup and press OK. Choose from All Channels, Analog Channels and Digital Channels and press OK again. Select Apply and press OK when the scan is finished. (All channels and Digital Channels will work the same way since most analog channels are no longer broadcasting.) See https://www.manualslib.com/manual/306779/Sanyo-Dp32242.html?page=22#manual . Note: digital channels will not display if the signal strength is low. You may need a different antenna or a different antenna placement. See antennaweb.org or tvfool.com for suggested station transmitters.
I hope this helps.

(note: the physical buttons on the TV should work to navigate the menu. Use the channel buttons for Up/Down and volume for left right. The OK button is the Input button.)
You have to go back to the setup screen and scan for channels. Then you need to have a signal present for channel 4 so that the scan finds that channel. Note that if it is a unit that is not digital then it wont find channel 4 for broadcast. If it is digital and you are hooking something to it like a video player then it wont see channel 4 if the player is not digital.
Not sure if this will help but, I recently put an antenna on the roof of my house. I don't watch TV much but wanted to enjoy some TV, but my remote locked up and the side buttons on the TV wouldn't work either. I tried changing the battery, but no luck. There's a broadcast station 64.2 that is locking up TV's & remotes. Here's the fix that a TV repair co. gave me which did break the lock of the station 64.2.
1) unplug antenna (not roof but connection from TV to wall)
2) unplug and plug back in TV
3) find a way via remote or side buttons to scan channels
4) Go to Menu
5) EZ Setup
6) Channel Set Up-Scan Channels
7) Channel Memory
8) Digital Set Up
9) Turn Skip On for 64.2 (Delete this Channel)
10) Turn off TB
11) Hook Antenna back
You may have to play with the order to acheive the end result or figure out a way to delete 64.2, but during the process you will at least unlock from being stuck on 64.2.
Hello, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Networkcustomer service. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could helpwith a solution. Sometimes some of the codes we have available for certainbrands of televisions are not compatible with certain models of that brand. Ifnone of the codes are working when trying to address your DISH remote to yourTV, we do have an option to run what we call a channel scan. A channel scanwill basically scan through all possible remote codes, until if finds thecorrect one for your specific TV. I hope you find these instructions for achannel scan useful and please feel free to post back here with any furtherquestions or concerns. You can also email me at [email protected].
Instructions for running a channel scan
With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.(For your case press and hold down the TV mode button), then press (500) in the number keypad, then the pound(#) button once and release. You should see the TV button flash three times.
Once you have completed the first step you will again press and hold the TV mode button until all the mode button light up at the top of the remote.
Press the big red power button on the remote once and release.
Press the Up button once every second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment.(press the up arrow as if you were changing the channels up). Keep doing this until your TV powers off. Note: If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
As soon as your TV powers off, Press the POUND (#) button right away. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
before you try to change the channels, firts look for a button that says tv/video `press it ( some times more than once ) depending on how manny video jacks on your tv until it shows tv again, good luck
The channel buttons on the tv and remote only navigate through the channels programed into the tv. You will need to go into set up and scan for channels or manually add channels you wish to receive.
