Sharp LC-32sb24u hdmi not working

I have a Sharp LC-32sb24u. The hdmi input is not working. I have tried to connect the hdmi cable to both Input 4 and Input 5. I get a black screen each time. I have unplugged the tv and unplugged the Optimum Cable box. I have used different hdmi cables. Reset tv to factory settings. Nothing works. The tv does not recognize the hdmi cables. I can set up the DVD player using a/v cables and it works fine. How do I fix the hdmi situation?

You have to tell the TV which HDMI input to use. ie you should be able to press a button on your remote to do this. On my tv we can choose between 4 different HDMI inputs via the remote.

Testimonial: "Thanks, but I've done that. I've tried the two different inputs and changed that on the tv. Still does not even recognize it."

SOURCE: Do I need a separate

If your DVD player has a composite or S Video output, you can use them instead of using an HDMI cable. However, you need to connect the audio portion as well - RCA left and right, white and red, respectively to the set.

SOURCE: I cannot get a signal on my Phillips 50

if you haven't unplugged the unit for 30 seconds, try that. otherwise, if that doesn't help, probably a board needs to be replaced. call phillips for service.

Where is the HDMI connection on my Sharp LC-46SB57? I installed X1 and cannot get picture. Sharp Input 1,2&3 are grayed out but Inputs 5Roku & 6blue ray work.

The X1 box acts like a set-top cable box. The HDMI output can be connected to any HDMI connector. There are three HDMI connections on the rear of the set. You have the Blu-Ray connected to one of them, Input 6. You should have no issues with connecting the X1 to either Input 7 or Input 8. There is no specific "TV" HDMI connection. You simply use the remote to select the HDMI port that the X1 is connected to.

I have a Sharp LC-42D62U and have our DVR from cable connected to HDMI #4. I want to hook up a Roku via HDMI to HDMI #5 but the input source shows unavailable sign. Is there a way to get both HDMI...

If your Tv has this many HDMI ports it will have a menu to access each one separate. Go to your Tv's settings menu and look for your HDMI ports to use.

32 inch LCD sharp tv switches audio from mono to sterio every 4 to 5 min

When you are connecting this television to a signal source with a coax cable this happens. The solution is to connect with an RCA/composite cable instead and utilize the television's inputs instead of using input tv.

My cable input works but none of the hdmi inputs are working on an lc-52d64u. We had some lightning activity in the area recently.

first unplugg the set for an hour to reset it, then if you still dont have HDMI go into the menu and select input lable to reactive them

My Sharp Aquos 46" LCD

Digital inputs on Aquos TV's are "always on," usually the HDMI inputs and DVI inputs. As opposed to analog inputs 1, 2, or 3, are only activated once something is plugged in.
Try plugging in another HDMI sources into input4 or 5, if its still not working, the TV needs a new Main Board. Try calling Sharp 1-800-237-4277 and locating a local service center in your area.
