Camera will not turn on

WRONG TYPE AND AMOUNT OF POWER !!!

Make sure that the batteries in the camera are good and turn it on. Is there a light that comes on to let you know that the camera has power and is ready when you press the power button? Does that light come on and what color is it?

If the light ends up green, then you know the batteries are good and the camera is functioning properly and is ready to take a picture. If this is the case, then after you turn it on - look on the back of the camera for the focus zoom in and out buttons. Sometimes they look like a switch that you can rock right or left. Press the switch and look through the lens. Does press the switch or arrows in either direction clear up your view and allow you to see anything? Are you looking through the lens hole or are you using a small screen to view on the back of the camera? If you are looking at a screen on the back of the camera and that screen is black - it means that you dont have the exterior view option turned on in the cameras settings. Sometimes there is a button labeled "view" on the back of the camera to alternate from the exterior view screen on the back of the camera and using the lens hole view at the top. Press that key to make the view screen turn on. If this option is not turned on yet, press the menu key on the camera and use the arrow keys to scroll through the option choices until you find the image preview choices and turn this option on. Then save this choice and close the menu features to see if it comes on.

If you are not getting a power indicator light when you turn the camera on, then replace the batteries. If the light comes on and its something other then green and steady - (like red and flashing) check your camera manual to see what this indicator means. Some cameras show a red light that is flashing when you turn them on to indicate that the memory card is full. Some camera have a red light that is steady to indicate that the battiers are almost out of power and they will show a picture on the digital to indicate how much power you have left before they shut down. Each model camera is different according to the options it came with.

I suspect you battery has died,this happened to me the other month.
Easily fixed by buying a new battery, got mine off Ebay £7.99

If the camera doesn't turn on when you move the power switch, remove the batteries from the camera, re-insert them and connect the camera to a camera dock--if you have one. Check the LED lights on the dock and make sure the batteries are charging. Refer to your manual to learn which lights should be on when the batteries are charging. If they are not, try powering the camera back on after inserting new batteries.

Also try cleaning the battery contacts in the battery compartment using a clean,dry lint-free cloth. Sometimes, little particles can cause short-circuits in the battery compartment. If the camera still does not turn on after you clean the contacts, your camera may have had a power failure. Contact the manufacturer.hope this helps you

Red light indicates that the camera is out of charged., Try to charged your battery for 3-4 hrs if you encounter flashing red on a fully charged battery you need to call kodak 1 800 235 6325 ext 12

You can charged you camera using 5V AC Adaptor or a USB cable taht attached into the computer

The camera turns on and there is a green light on the camera and instantly turns red

Try to use the KODAK Lithium Digital Camera Battery CRV3 There is a red light because the camera has insufficient power and also the lens assembly might be defective try to use the battery i recommend

Try taking out your batteries and then taking out your memory card. Put back in batteries. Turn on camera.

If this works, just put back in your memory card and try again. Sometimes the memory card hangs and you need to pop it in and out.

Turn the camera off.
Take out the batteries for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, put the batteries back in (or get a fresh set).
Then turn the camera back on.

Download and then erase the photos in your camera. 2.FE - Flash memory error. A camera hardware error occurred. This can happen when the power is shut off before a photo is completely stored in the camera. Do not shut off the power until the green light comes back on steady after you take a photo. 3.bE - Hardware problem. Turn the power switch on and off and see if the error message disappears. If the error message persists, the camera may need to be replaced. 4.Lo - Battery low. Replace the camera battery as soon as possible. If you continue to use the camera, picture quality will be poor. 5.LL - Low light condition. The camera does not have enough light to take a good photo. Improve the subject lighting if possible. Example: When taking indoor photos, add additional room lighting.
