SOURCE: homelite ut10560 chainsaw good compression, good

check your fuel lines for cracks carb screen (if it has one) or jets might be clogged , also, I have a husk 350, fired only with gas in the carb, would not run at all just start and off. would not fire at all without doing that. the head bolts were little lose. I tightened them down put it back together, and that was the problem.

SOURCE: Homelite 10540 chainsaw 35CC chainsaw won't start when hot

Go to: http://www.drystacked com for a 12 page article on Walbro carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Check particularly, the position of the gasket in the lower chamber. Check the spark plug for blue, snappy spark when the engine is hot. If ok, place a small amount of fuel mix in the cylinder and try for start. If it pops several times, look to the fuel system. Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Does the primer bulb fill with fuel after several pumps? Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. When the engine is hot, try not using the choke, but set the fast idle. Hope some of this helps!

Troubleshooting chainsaw

Sadly, the 3816 is not designed for larger timber. 38cc is only for smaller limbs, As a general rule also the largest timber to cut should only be 2/3 of the length of the bar

HOMELITE 27AV CHAINSAW WILL NOT START. CLEANED CARB, PLUG GETS GOOD SPARK. TRIED EVERYTHING.

Hi chuckbjr44,
Have you checked the compression ?The way to do that is take the plug out and ground the plug wire by tying it out of the way so that it touches on some metal .Use a compression gauge while a friend pulls the rope.It sounds like rings to me. Thank you for using Fix Ya. ps you can a local repair shop for the specs on the right compression for your saw.
