This Digital Keyboard does not come with a pedal unit. • You can use the PEDAL1 jack to connect an optional (SP-3, SP-20) sustain pedal. You can use the.
Yes. But it depends which connectors you have on your laptop. If you have a small (3.5mm) stereo jack input, then you need one cable with a small stereo 3.5mm jack on one side and a big stereo 6,3mm jack on the other side. (Take a look at the picture below). Then you plug in side with a small stereo jack in your laptop "line in" input and other side of the cable with a big stereo jack to your Casio CTK-1100 Phones/Output plug on a keyboards rear side...
Be sure to adjust the volume on both the Casio (output volume) and laptop (input volume)...
casio are notorious for TONS of screws to get apart. essentially start by flipping keyboard over and your probolly going to have to take every screw out of the bottom. once you cmplete this you should be able to lift the top off. i think the pc boards are upside down so you'll actually have to remove it to replace jack. ( just take solder, solder iron , and a jack ) just remember where the screws go or in reassembly you might puncture the faceplate. good luck!
If you noticed that the pedal works on and off depending on the jack plug positioning, it is because the jack is already broken loose from the solder on the board. If the pedal that you are using can normally open as most or normally closed like Roland types, you can still replace the loosed jack. Unit has to be opened and correct jack replaced.
Unfortunately the adapter jacks are a bit of a weak point on many keyboards but it is quite seldom the jack socket itself that is at fault. Often the sockets are soldered directly on to the printed circuit board and are prone to either one of the soldered legs breaking, or even the circuit board itself cracking around the jack socket. Whilst it is generally possible, with care, to resolder a broken leg on the socket if the actual circuit board has cracked the whole board will have to be replaced. If the actual jack socket itself is damaged it should be possible to snip through the legs and remove it before soldering a new one on to the stumps of the old legs. this is likely to prove easier than trying to solder directly onto the circuit board, unless this is something that you are experienced at doing.
Just replace the jack. Search Digikey.com Mouser.com for exact replacement. It will be a stereo jack LIKELY with switches that disconnect the speakers if your unit has speakers, otherwise just a stereo jack.
Sir,
This jack installs on most Casio keyboards to replace broken ones-a common problem. Often the broken jacks have the center connection pin ripped out or loose when the power cord cable has been pulled with a vacuum cleaner or yanked by a pet or child.
A technician is recommended to replace this part on your Casio instrument. check with site www.keyboardstoday.com ThanksGood luck
