How do I reset my pioneer deh-x6500bt car stereo and produce sound from my rear speakers?

a 'reset' of the entire stereo should be able to be accomplished by disconnecting the battery for several minutes: alternately if you remove the faceplate there should be a reset button you would need a pen to press, however you should be able to find the EQ levels and set the balance and fade I think it is so the rear produces sound, if that is not the case, I would check wiring to make sure nothing is loose. I suppose it could only be a software/firmware problem with the stereo itself however, if you have had this happen before and it was fixed without tinkering with the wiring.

Instead of resetting rear speakers each time.....

I have found a similar problem with the rear speakers on this unit (needing to be reset each time the unit was turned off), but found a quicker way around it.....with both the main unit off and the rear receiver off: turn on the rear speaker receiver, then the main unit. If the blue light on the rear receiver does not come on, turn off the main unit, and turn it back on again. This has worked for me ~50 times or so and has worked repeatedly. It's faster than going through the reset phase each time. Also when turning off the system, turn off the main unit first, and then the rear receiver. Sometimes I also simply leave the rear receiver on since it pulls only 4 Watts. Hope this helps any users.....(it also works on my boyfriends older generation model).

The system WAS working fine. After I moved I installed the system again now the front speakers are not working. I'm sure it's not the cable or the speakers (if i connect in example: the left rear...

The system would have hung up. Please remove the power and leave the set aside for over 6 hours so that the processor will reset if there was any error that have crept into while it was powered . Also remove and reset all the speakers, if possible with an individual test on each- use a 1.5 V AA cell-.
The amplifer can also be reset if there is a note in your manual.

My 2002 Chev Trailblazer, the 2 rear speakers are not working. I know they are linked to the rear seat stereo and when this is on it is supposed to shut down the rear speakers but the rear seat stereo is...

Sounds to me as if you may have a short in the speaker wires or they may not be hooked up at all. follow from back of stereo follow wires all the way to rear speakers making sure that they are not showing any bare spots.

The rear amp is malfunctioning (duh). Take it to a tech for a real diagnosis.

TX-SR506 Bi-Amping

If you select bi-amping the device will use a second amp for your rear speakers, this indicates that in your setup menu you probably have deleted the rears (set to None). Try to find the settings for your rear speaker in your setupmenu and see if they are selected in normal operation.
If all fails, see if you can reset teh device back to factory settings, sometimes software can get confused after using for a while. Resetting should than fix most problems.

You can also check and see if there is maybe a software update available for your device, loading and installing is explained in either the file or on manufacturers site.

Rear Wirelss speaker do not work

With the main unit turned off, press and hold [REMAIN] on the home theater's remote for 4 seconds. (The REMAIN button is directly under the 7 button). Once held down for 4 seconds, the Volume Indicator on the main unit will turn on for 1 second. Release the [REMAIN].

Press the [RESET] on the back of the Wireless Receiver 2-3 times. The Standby/On LED on the front of the Wireless Receiver will blink 3 times

Turn on the main unit. The Link LED on the wireless receiver will light up if process is done correctly. The front of the main unit will no longer say REAR CHK and the rear speakers should now function correctly.
