For some reason when I play online on call of duty ghosts my screen freezes every 10 minuets or so and it's a reoccuring problem. My console works just fine with every other game I play It's just with ghosts online that im having problems. My copy of the game is still brand new and in perfect shape and I dont have any other problems with any other game i play on the console. What should I do to fix this problem?
Check online to see if others have this problem, if not contact the games manufacturer and ask for a replacement disc.

one thing you should do is try to put either alcohol or perfume on tisse paper and wipe the dvd. it should work. another thing it might be the laser that is damaged. but try the perfume or alcohol it works.

This does typically sound like an chip overheating. If you have checked your discs and they are in good condition with no scratches then is would suggest that there is a graphics chip error due to being faulty or overheating. My advice is to take your PS3 to your local repair agent to be assessed correctly. Has the PS3 been chipped to play pirated games. This could have caused an issue with your PS3 as well.
If you do now want to spend money sending the PS3 into an authorised repair agent then my advice is.
1. Take your machine to your local games store and test one of thier new games on the system to confirm it is a PS3 error and not a disc error.
2. Alternatively you could hire a disc however some rental stores do not take good care of their discs and it we want to establish that the issue is console related first.
3. If the same problem occurs again then you will need to take the console to the authorised repair agent to get assessed correctly.
4. If the issue appears to be related to scratches on the discs then you will need to take them to your local rental store to have them cleaned or resurfaced.
Game discs often have much larger quantiies of data to transfer and this is why it may appear confusing as your console can still play movies ok. If there are scratches on the surface of the discs then for the same reasons as mentioned above the movies will play as there is less data passing and therefore scratches will be effecting less data than on a typical games disc.
