When I plug my iphone into the docking station it wont charge

Unfortunately, the USB cable is only used to download photos from the camera. It will not charge the battery. You need to purchase a battery charger, and because the battery is proprietary for this camera, you will probably have to get one from Canon (unless you can find one on eBay or Amazon). The charger (in the US) is the CB-2LV and Canon sells it here for $50.

Iphone wont charge
That is about the amount of time when my 3GS stopped charging. The USB charger through the computer stopped working on all computers, and my wall charger for some reason continued to work sporadically. I changed the entire charging dock and that fixed it right up!

If unit is plugged in and doesn't respond, try resetting the unit by
following these steps:
a) remove iPhone/iPod from dock
b) unplug unit from power source
c) remove back up batteries
d) wait 1 hour, then resume use

Wont charge my iphone
The adapter off the docking station can be faulty and so that must be checked for working voltage.
If there is voltage on the adapter then the socking station charging section can be faulty.
The failure of the regulator IC in the docking station cannot be ruled out. You will need to remove the docking station after making sure there is no voltage to the docking section to the phone.

There are many devices that worked with the original iphone that will not work with the 3g. Be sure that when you buy docking stations that the Iphone 3gs is included in the list of supported devices.

3gs wont charge from usb or charger
The newer iPods and iPhones aren't communicating with older docks. I'm not sure if that's your problem, but I've found a "work-around".
I've purchased an adapter that plugs into the iPhone and allows charging with previous docks etc.

My Jensen ipod docking system wont charge my i touch
The older ipods charge using 12v, the newer ones (including the Touch 2nd gen) use 5v. So a lot of docks that will charge a nano will not charge a new Touch. If a dock says it will work with the iPhone then it will work with the newer iPod Touch (2nd gen).
If you have an old dock and want to charge a new Touch (sounds like the case here) then you can get an adapter. Scosche makes one just for this.
