I need the driver for it, i have no sound

Anonymous,
There are no drivers for the A425 speakers. Make sure the power cable is attached to the speakers as well as the speakers plugged into the correct jacks. If your speakers are plugged in and powered on and u still have no sound; check to make sure the sound card drivers are installed.
Thank You,

Dell a425 disassembly

I found this URL for you that shows a Dell forum where you could probably get all the info you need. It also has specifications for all the internals should you need to replace something. Good luck and be safe. I learned to hate capacitors a long time ago. :-) http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=DSN_E876EF53BCA3F058E030030ABD6260B2&isLegacy=true

A425 subwoofer, more bass? wires came off, no bass managment.

I wouldn't cross wires or leave one disconnected. Can you solder the wires back on the the control knob? Did you feel the subwoofer cone to see if it's working at all? I would guess the wire you didn't connect, is the subwoofer wire. Try putting it back to original cofiguration and solder the wires in place.

How do i hook up a Dell A425 subwoofer to a regular stereo sytem i cut the wires and i need to know which two wires i need just for the subwoofer

describing a pin-out to people who are not electrical engineers is like explaining to someone how to build a clock when they asked what time it is.
Looking at the orange VGA connector on the back, which two holes have the wires that go to the two sides of speaker wire for the subwoofer? Do i have to do anything else to make it just work like a simple speaker and just be controlled by the amplifier (receiver)?
Like seriously, am I asking it simply enough? Which two holes in the orange female vga plug on the back of the subwoofer correspond to the + and - speaker wires that go to the "subwoofer" hookup on the back of my stereo? I don't care about what each pin does because those words don't mean anything. I don't understand. WHICH. TWO. WIRES.
and then is there anything else i have to do like stick a paperclip from one hole to another and hope it doesn't explode?

Also, I don't know what the numbers of the holes are. so saying "pin 9" or whatever is meaningless without a diagram.
thank you for my ted talk.

My subwoofer and speakers wont draw power when i plug it in, could it be the fuse or something else?

The Altec Lansing A425 doesn't appear to have a fuse. Check for a circuit breaker on any surge protectors it might be plugged in to and make sure they haven't been tripped. Confirm that the power cord is firmly plugged in. Additionally, you could check the wall transformer with a multimeter to make sure it is providing the correct voltage needed by the speakers. Check the back of the subwoofer for a hidden power switch. If everything is plugged in and turned on, but you still don't have power, you will either need to open the device up and troubleshoot it or replace it.
