SOURCE: Konica Minolta 2500W shows error.

Okay, the driver for the printer (hal.dll) needs to be reinstalled.

Do the following:

Press the windows key and R
Type in command
In the command prompt that comes up:
Type in cd C:\Windows\System32
Type in taskkill /f /im "hal.dll"
Type in del hal.dll
Then restart your computer

What taskkill does is kill the printer application that is using the driver so you can delete it. After your system restarts, Windows will automatically reinstall the printer driver, and the problem will be fixed!

SOURCE: Bizhub 350 needs reset daily to print..

I have seen a corrupt print driver cause this many times test all workstations for printing then once you find the workstation that locks up the machine delete that driver and reinstall.

49.000ff error

49.xxxxxx errors can be caused by various things. 1st thing to do is clear the print queue. A corrupt print job in the queue will give you the error. Disconnect the network cable and power cycle the printer.
Could be a firmware problem. Upgrade the firmware. Could be bad memory. Might be bad formatter board.
Try powering off the printer and rebooting the computer. Power up the printer, if no 49 error, you should be good to go.

Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB-connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

I can not down load pages or pictures from my laptop to printed. It all locks up and does nothing.

What is the operating system running on your computer? How is the printer connected to your computer, wireless or hardwired with a usb cable? A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. If you're connected wireless, simply unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset it. Reboot your computer as well. If usb-connected, disconnect your printer from your computer first. Then, unplug/re-plug printer into the power source and reboot pc. Try to print again.

Clening/mismatch printing for hp clj cp-2025 printer

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.

Error message 49 on my HP CP 2025 (printer shuts itself off and truns itself back on to see error message 49)

Firmware error:
1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory. 2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. You can try reprinting the job to see if it was a temporary error. 3. If error persists, try printing a job from a different software application. If the alternate job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or certainprint job, try upgrading the printer driver and / or firmware.) 4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. Turn the printer off and delete the print queue. Then reboot printer AND computer, reconnect cables, and try printing again. 6. Remove all EIO devices from the printer (JetDirect cards, hard drives, etc.). If 49 error goes away, turn printer off, re-install EIO devices one at a time, and reboot printer each time to determine which EIO device is failing. 7. If printing still fails with all EIO devices removed, remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM-- printer won't function without this installed.) Turn the printer on with DIMMS missing. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM one at a time, turn printer on, test printer. Replace a DIMM if you determine that it causes the error. 8. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer. 9. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 10. If error persists, replace the formatter.

Failed response from plugin device

Dirty fix...
When the printer errors out...stop, unplug the power to the printserver. Reset the printer, Clear the print que (delete jobs/restart print spooling service), restart the printserver software and plug the printserver power back in. Wait for the re-detect. Everthing should be good at this point. Unfortunatly the print job will be lost and you need to print again...BUT, NO REBOOT yea!!!
Note... for me, if this sequence is not followed, I will have to reboot. The printserver will be locked for the PC that was trying to print. All other PC's will be fine, and I have no idea why.
