The display is showing a left pointing arrow. No keys work except for the C button. Instruction manual says this is overflow mode. Turning the calculator off and unplugging it does not clear it.
SOURCE: None of my buttons work except the ON button
Sounds like a possible short to me, But I don't have experience with that cause I have yet to test my calc with water if you know what I mean... The one thing that I can suggest is trying to connect with another persons calc and try the "send OS" command to see if that will reset your calc to a working state. Sorry to hear about the damage though.

SOURCE: My TI--84 plus calculator won't display the 7
Hello,
Use the [Y=] entry screen to enter the functions you want to graph. Make sure that the = sign after Y1, Y2 etc. is highlighted (black). If the = sign is not highlighted the corresponding function will not be drawn. You can can up to 10 functions, but what is the point of drawing so many if they overlap?
Anyway, to change the graph style of the curve for a particular function, use arrows to move to the line, then use left arrow to the bit of line that appears to the left of the Y. Highlight the segment an press ENTER. Each time you press ENTER the style changes to another one. Beware of the unconnected bubble style. During the drawing it will show the position of the point being drawn, but at the end, the whole curve, so to speak, evaporates.
As to simultaneous graphs, if it is important to you to have the graphs drawn for all the curves at the same time, you can enforce that by pressing [MODE], and using down arrow to reach the 6th line Sequential Simul. Use the right arrow to highlight Simul and press ENTER.
Whether drawn sequentially or simultaneously, all graphs will be displayed, except for the ones with the unconnected bubble as style.
Hope it helps.

I have the exact same problem (just happended recently) with my TI-5045 II after 25 years of good service. My solution? I just bought another model: Sharp EL-1801V at Stapels for about $31.00. To get the old one fixed will probably cost me $25.00-30.00 just to diagnose, plus shipping and parts and labor. And that assumes I can find a shop to do it, or that TI still stocks the part(s) gone bad. Same old problem with all technology.

Hi CatSamalea , I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Specifically what model of Canon calculator are you talking about?
My apologies, I thought I had posted that information k24674. It is a Canon P126-D calculator.
