Phone will not turn on when i try to turn it on it goes to the trac fone wireless screen then turns off works fine with out sim card in how do i fix this

Do a master/factory reset and you should be fine. Hope you have backups though

I bought a new trac fone, and am trying to transfer things from my old phone. When I turn on the new phone there is a lock on it. I can't find the way to put in the SIM card number. I can't unlock the phone.
I tried pushing the lock, and the space bar. I think it's the space bar. The lock is on the same key.
One of the messages states the sim card is invalid. I did not put in a sim card number, only a serial number. How do I unlock it.

Dear, change ur sim card and then try to turn on,if it does'nt work then it means that the software of ur fone is corrupt u should go to a certified mobile fone repairer and get flashed ur mobile..

you can't switch sim cards to tracfone, unlike other phones

Im guessing that your settings is set to default for this to work..

-turn fone on.
-wait for a while to load up.
-press select button(middle).

There are two ways of doing this depending if your menu is set to grid or listing.Remembering is the key for it to work.

Grids:
-arrow down once
-select
-arrow up up once
-select
-select
-turn fone off after 5minutes and transfer to working fone.

List:
-arrow down 7 times
-select
-arrow up once
-select
-select
-turn fone off after 5minutes and transfer to working fone.

THE EASIEST SOLUTION IS TO GET OUT YOUR MANUAL THAT CAME WITH YOUR TRAC-FONE, AND CALL THE NUMBER THAT REFERS TO SERVICE. THEY WILL HELP YOU DETERMINE WEATHER IT'S THE PHONE OR THE SERVICE THAT IS THE PROBLEM. ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE IS TO GO TO, "TRAC-FONE.COM", AND GO TO THE SERVICE/HELP AREA..................... Purchase an AT&T SIM Card and activate it

it wont fix your fone but the way tp get the pics and photos off is as follows..... u need another bluetooth enabled phone or pc nearby.,

1. turn fone on.
2. once it has turned on to normal wallpaper take the sim card out whilst leavin the battery on. very tricky but is possible ( i did it to get my pics off)
3 once the battery is out the fone should not freeze and will allow you time to transfer the files via bluetooth

If you encounter situation like below on your phone,
1. Blank screen phone unable to reboot.
2. Phone only able to boot-up to "Nokia" word screen.
3. Install some program but not able to uninstall it after that.
4. Error messages such as "Child Installer" keeps popping-up.

Do a Full phone formatting on your phone! as steps below,

1. Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left.

2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card.

3. Switch-off your phone.

4. Press and hold 3 keys;

Green dial key, * (star key) & no. 3 key and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

Remember, do not let go all of the keys and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!
