To be honest, it sounds like you purchased a secondhand, faulty appliance. Although it might be loose connections due to the move, the most likely issue would be the main board and due to the price of them, that is often a good enough reason to buy a new stove.
Error messages are normally searchable, but not that one. Take it back or call out a Whirlpool Service engineer to diagnose, fix and set it up. It is a sorry tale and not an easy one to fix.
Hello, What will cause that is a part on the clock that powers the display to illuminate has gone out yet the part of the clock (also called the electronic oven control) that send power to the heat elements is still working. It may work like that for years as long as you done mind the clock not displaying, OR to get it to display the clock/eoc would need to be replaced .
hi i have a whirlpool oven type fcem6 model akz151/1x i turned the oven on and it triped the eletric and the oven would not work so i got a new element and now just the grill works but not the oven help plz
Most definitely a bad control board and/or soldered components. (The part about cutting power to the oven was a dead giveaway)
There are low and high temperature solders, but usually solder melts at 370° F. If the oven is improperly insulated or ventilated you will have continued heat stress to the control board.
This just happened to me. I have whirlpool double oven accubake. The display went blank and i had to turn the breaker off. I left it off for several hours. When I turned the breaker back on my oven display read "Loc" in big letters to the right of the time. I held the start button down for 5 secs. The display went away and the oven started to work as if nothing had happened. I hope that is stays that way.
