MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA-DIMAGE E323

Dear Sir

I bought minolta digital camera dimage e323 4 years back.It worked wonderfully all these years.One month back when i loaded the recharged

batteries,the lid did n't close tightly.I thought that it was n't a problem to

bother.After using like that for some days it worked nicely.Now the problem i encounter is the battery compatment lid suddenly opens by itself,when i

take snaps and even if it is shut tightly ,applying mild force,the gap is still

there.Now when i ever take photos,i am getting many horizontal lines over

tha photo.

Please let me know the remedial measures to be taken or you can suggest me the service centres where this prblem can be rectified.

    I have exactly the same problem with my camera. It's so bad that i can't even use standard AA bateries in a pinch. I'm goin to try to replace the battery cover to see if that helps.

The battery cover is a different issue. But the wavy lines in your photos sounds like a defective Sony CCD issue. If so, Sony will fix your Minolta camera for free (with free shipping) regardless of warranty. See this link:

    Ooops, disregard what I said. Just noticed that your model is the E323. The only Dimage models that Sony is accepting for the recall repair is 7HI, 7I, A1, Xi, F300, XT, X20, S414. Again sorry if I misled you.
