Skyscaninfo.com has transmitters for sale and operating instructions can be had for free there also.
How do you open the transmitter 433MHz to change the batteries?
I need the instructions for a atomic clock sioscan model number 88900
Model 86722
Problem:
"--.-" appears in the outdoor temperature section of the LCD.
Solution:
1) Remove the batteries of both units for one minute, then reinsert them again. Make sure the batteries are new and fresh.
2) Move the Atomic Clock closer to the transmitter or place the transmitter closer to the Skyscan Atomic Clock. Make sure the clock is at a receivable range from the transmitter.
3) Move the units to another location. Interferences from other electrical devices operating on the same signal frequency (433MHz) may prevent correct signal transmission and reception.

Usually answered in minutes!
Yes, I found the manual online for the clock. It said to take the batteries out of both the tranmitter and the clock and then put the batteries back in the clock and then the transmitter. I did wait about ten minutes after taking out the batteries. As soon as I did that the transmitter worked again...the only down fall is you have to reset the date, times zone, etc on the clock.
I have a simuar problem, changed batteries but still have an intermittent with two horizontal lines depending on temp or sensor??. Only two years old!! Is it a bad sensor, and if so, where can I get a new one?
Remote temperatue is not displayed on my Model 87800 Skyscan. I removed the batteries from the clock and the transmitter, replaced the clock batteries first, then the clock. There was a remote temperature displayed for a short time then it went blank. I checked battery voltage and current drain. The transmitteer isn't working.
Where do I get a new transmitter, or do you have to throw the whole thing out and replace it?
Appreciate any information you might provide.
