My Rolex watch is 15 minutes fast

When not worn for 24 to 48 hours it has to be reset to get the exact time, obviously the watch stops running. After adjusting to the exact time it runs 15 minutes fast every hour.

SOURCE: Watch has been running fine, now running fast.

HI there,

If you have an Automatic Wrist watch. Some adjustment has to do inside the watch. You better bring the unit to any local watch repair shop to adjust or correct the polarity of the energizer.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: eddie bauer watch runs slow

This usually means the battery is dying. Usually the backs on these are very tight, and the back has to be taken off to replace the battery. You might be able to get the back off without damaging the watch, but you probably will not get it back on without breaking the crystal. Best thing to do is take it to a reputable watch repair place or jewelry shop and have them replace the battery for you. Before they begin, make sure they are willing to replace the crystal for free for you if they break it!

SOURCE: How do I adjust my time

hi friend,
i think your rolex watch must be a automatic one. this kind of watch, you don't need to put battery, after in full power, i can last 24-48 hours. if you wear it, it will not stop, but if you don't wear it for long time, it will stop automatic. to adjust the time, you just need to wind the crown counterclockwise, and then pull out the crown, and then you will hear the sound of "click" and then find the right position, and then wind the crown to change the date. please note that the date have to change from small number to big number. after adjust it, you have to screw down the crown to a good water proof capability.

SOURCE: my watch runs too fast: adds appr. 1 minute every

That is way too fast for a Seiko Kinetic. There is no adjustment to slow it down. With time of course it might run slower as the gears get dirty. Maybe Seiko will replace the movement, worth asking

Ive wound watch about 40 times it runs for about 3 minutes then stops again

I have the same watch 20 years old. I cannot wind this watch.
it is self winding , which is generated by arm or wrist movement.
i purchased a box for times I won't be wearing. Will rotate watch 5 minutes every hour ( belt driven- only use that other winders say gear my experience is belt drive more reliable)
if you have to wind this watch I would question if it is real Rolex.

Watch stops after wearing for a few hours

Self winding watches need motion ( wrist twist) without they can stop. Sometimes just shake your wrist for a few seconds. I purchased a winder box for times I don't wear. ( Amazon)!
it is belt driven winder, rotates watch 5 minutes every hour.

That's not good, obviously. Who serviced it?

Generally, Rolex's run forever without much service. If an authorized Rolex technician worked on your watch, it would be running like a .... Like a Rolex! Kidding aside, get in touch with the services, nukes you were simply told that by the seller.

This watch is self winding and will stop after 2-3 days if not worn.

To wind it up,shake it from side to side gently for a few minutes (about 100-200 times) and this should wind it up sufficient to make it run for some time.

These watches thrive on being used and if you wish to maintain its operation, wear it at least every other day.

If the watch is not worn for a day, is it normal for it to stop or slow down? Vintage SS mens datejust, oyster perpetual.

mcdevito75 here, Yes it is normal, especially if your Rolex is an automatic watch. The motion of your Wrist / Hand keeps your watch wound thru the Counter balance on the movement, as the counter balance turns it winds the mainspring little by little, thus keeping your watch wound. Once you take off your watch, if long enough the mainspring simply un-winds and slows and will eventually stop your watch completely. You can keep your Rolex wound even when you take it off by means of a watch winder, a small machine that will keep your watch in motion, or by hand, by rocking the watch back and firth in your hand for about 30 seconds, say before you gpo to bed at night, this way there is always some wind to your watch.

I have bought a new daytona but after every few hours it just stops anf i have to reset it again.its quite frustrating

A Rolex watch is automatic. It needs to be worn 8 hours per day to store enough power to run 36 hours off the wrist.Assuming that you are wearing the watch daily if it still stops there is a problem with the auto winding or mainspring. As a new watch it will be under the Rolex guarantee so return it to the place of purchase. If you dont have a guarantee contact www.rolexrepairs.co.uk for advice or a free estimate.

Need manual for rolex daytona men's watch

Hello
These are the things you might need about the watch.

1. Turn the crown clockwise while it is in position 2 to manually wind the watch. It will stop if it has not been worn out or put in a watch winder for roughly two days.

2. Pull the crown out one notch to position 3 to change the time.Turn the crown clockwise to move the minute hand.

3. Push the crown back into the watch while turning it clockwise to return the crown to position 1.The crown should be tight to ensure the watch case is waterproof.

4. Operate the stopwatch and chronograph function by pressing the button located above the crown on the 3 o clock side of the watch.Stop the stopwatch by pressing the button again,Reset the stopwatch by pressing the button below the crown.

Hi, I have a Rolex oyster watch, with a Ultra Prima movement made some time in the 1930s. The watch runs & keeps time well when not being worn, but when being worn it looses time, as much as an hour -...

All I can say is your watch was not serviced properly or was not tested before returning it to you. You have to have receipt from Stewards. Ring them up and ask for how long is the guarantee on serviced watch? Must be at least for 6 months. Explain them everything you are not happy with and send your watch back to them for re-service. Explain them: if the same thing will happen again, you will ask your money back in full. These are your rights and they will have to repay in case if your watch delivers any faults again. One more thing you can do is to report badly overhauled (means serviced) watch by Rolex accredited watchmaker to Rolex itself. Rolex are very scrupulous about their accredited watchmakers and can penalise this particular person. In some cases watchmaker can even loose his Rolex licence. Here is address if you decide to write them: ROLEX, 19 Saint James's Square, London, SW1Y 4JE. Wish you luck with your watch.

Rolex runs down

sounds like you need a new watchmaker, Your watch is designed to be worn 16 hours a day an rested for 8 while you sleep and this should keep it running. there are several different mainsprings that can be installed depending on the age and your activity level. I would be happy to take a look at it for you.
