You can lift the affected keys off the keyboard to get at the key contacts. Clean with solvent spray cleaner under the rubber contacts.
The keys can be replaced by positioning over the plactic hinges and pressed home until it clicks into place.
If this doesn't work you will need to replace the keyboard.
Keyboard replacements are available on the Internet, I replaced one from Yall Store for approx. $60

Faw 55 no fan operation

All fan switches should read open line or "OL" when the furnace is cool, but if the motor seems stiff see if it is oilable. It may have small holes covered by yellow or black plastic plugs covering the holes. If it does and you have not oiled it, go to the hardware store and ask for a motor oiler such as a Zoom spout. Place 3-5 drops of oil in each hole then spin the motor by hand, it may loosen up. The limit side of the fan/limit switch has no impact on the fan motor.

Cleaning your Keyoard

Hello

This is a tip explaining exactly what steps you you should follow if you would like to Clean your keyboard. What usually happens, is that keys get stuck, due to dust particles or faulty rubbesr under the keys itself.

Before we start cleaning, you need to shut down your computer and unplug your keyboard from either the USB slot, or the PS2 port.

Now, you will need:
  • Some Spirits/alcohol
  • Cotton swabs
  • high static cloth/cleaning cloth
  • Vacuum or compressed air
  • Clean, soft paint brush
  • And lastly, some patients..
Step1

Ok, the first step will be to place your keyboard in front of you on a level surface.

Now, either use a vacuum or some compressed air to ****/blow out the particles beneath the keys. If you use a vacuum or compressed air, turn the keyboard downwards so that gravity will pull the particles down as well.

Step 2:

When you are done removing the particles underneath the keys, place the keyboard on a flat surface like figure 1. Now you will need to dip the cotton swabs into the alcohol or spirits and clean the tiny spaces between each key.

Step 3:

Now, after you have claened all the tiny spaces between the keys as seen in figure 2, i usually use a regular soft paint brush and just brush off the whole keyboard, at the side of the keys, as well as the bottom side.

Step 4:

Lastly, take the cleaning cloth and put some alcohol on it. Now wipe clean the whole keyboard after you have completed the abovementioned steps.

Now, you are done. Just plug the keyboard back in, and start up your computer. I always keep my soft paint brush near, to minimize the dust builup on the keyboard between cleaning periods.

Hope you can find this helpfull and rate acordingly.

Kind regards
Andrea

I hve a yamaha 1995 jetski an bogs down sumtimes on acceleratiotion.

Sounds like you might have a little water in your fuel system, check the fuel filter for water then clean carbs, dont forget to check the gas tank for anything sitting in the bottom.

I cleaned my lap top with a tiny spray of windex and now several of the keys dont work

I think the dirt got stuck under them. Try to repeat the procedure in the affected keys. Hopefully you have still plenty of WIndex.

Key button got pluged off

You probably broke a little tab that connects the letter to the actual button.
Just get some of that thick (foam) double sided tape. regular double sided tape wont work.

good luck

Dell Wireless Keyboard

THE KB BOARD NEEDS TO BE SERVICED, BY REMOVING THE SCREWS OR SNAP CLIPS THAT HOLD THE KB TOGETHER, CLEAN THE CURCIUT BOARD OR PLASTIC FILM WITH SOME ACOLAHOL AND LENT FREE TOWEL,
USE A CAN OF COMPRESSED AIR TO REMOVE THE DIRT FROM THE KEY SWITCHS.
PUT IT BACK TOGETHER,

GO INGO CONTROL PANEL OPEN DEVICE MANAGER, GO DOWN TO KEYBOARD AND CHECK FOR ANY TYPE OF UPDATES OR AND CHANGES TO THE PROGRAM.

IF YOU CAN FIND THE KEYBOARD TEST THAN TEST THE KEYBOARD TO MAKE SURE ALL KEYS ARE WORKING PROPERLY.

Water in the keyboard

Oh that doesn't sound good! As you have found out, liquids and keyboards don't play well together.

Sounds like two problems. First, You might want to remove the keyboard and try to clean it up as well as possible. If this doesn't work, you may need to replace it.

Secondly, it sounds like some of the water got down into the power
supply area. Some lap tops have a replaceable power sect.but most have the power section as a part of the mother board. If it is a part of the mother board, the resolution would be to replace the mother board.

Wish I had better news for you,but hope this information helps.
If you have further questions, please feel free to get back to me, and have a good day!

Keys dont work.alternative way to change brightness?

Yes you can go into your display properties and look in the settings tab and look for advanced click that and open color tab or the overlay tab, color tab should get your brightness turned up, And if you can't see you can go into your bios and adjust your brightness from there and get it back to where you can see it if you can't write me back here so we can try another method. Ok I hope that helps you out somewhat, Oh yeah you can also hook up an external key board into your usb connections and you should be able to work everything from that too.
