Pixma iP4000 does not print text for some users

I have a Pixma 1P4000 and a Vista PC.
One user can print everything, all of the other users cannot print any text. Graphics prints fine for all users.

Example Printer Test page: the first user created on this PC prints fine
Other users get the Windows logo, but no text

I have deleted and re-installed the printer and drives, but this did not help.

Only prints black ink text; cartridges full and good.

Run head cleaning and deep head cleaning for few times. If it doesnt help, you can try to remove print head, and clean the nozzles with distiled water.
And after that also run few times head cleaning mode.

Not understanding why there's two black ink cartridges

One tank is reserved for colour printing and the other one is for grayscale printing ( Black and white). Watch out as when you run out of ink and you keep trying to print a document with empty tank cartridge it will cause your print head to go bad. The cost of a new canon print head is the same as the cost of a new printer. Canon over priced the print head.

Envelope prints the wrong way

Just choose "landscape' from the printer properties instead of the default 'portrait'. Now adjust the margins, etc so that you can position the text exactly whre you want it

PS. Dont forget to rate this Fixya if the solution worked!
Cheers!

Printing text

What program are you printing from? I noticed that sometimes IE7 will print screen content the way you described. The only work-around I have is to copy and paste the content to Word (or other word processor), and format it accordingly.
