There is a fuel pump cutoff reset button (and a relay) it is located under the instrument panel at the right (passenger) hand cowl side "kick" side panel, press the button and when you hear a click it is reset.
The fuel lines run from the fuel pump (which is in the tank) under the car to the to the fuel rail in the top of the engine. The fuel cutoff light means that the inertia switch has been triggered. It is a black box with a red button located in the hatch area.
Hello You will have to reset your fuel pump switch located passenger side right foot kick panel when you press it it should stay down if this does not work your probably looking at a fuel pump not working.
Does your car run? Some fuel pumps run quiet so you will need to get your ear close to the gas tank and have someone turn on the ignition. The pumps only run about 3 seconds when the ignition is turn on without starting the engine.
My 96 Probe GT had the same thing. I changed the fuel pump and thought i fixed the problem. Not so. I then changed the crankshaft position senser and that was my problem.
