When I try to fill my bobbin the thread gets all balled up on top of the bobbin instead of filling it. What should I do?

Consult your owner's manual. Chances are you may be threading the thread incorrectly. Make sure it is going through the bobbin winder tension guide before going to the bobbin winder mechanism.

If it continues, the bobbin winder may need a height adjustment. I had that issue with a machine that the case surrounding the bobbin mechanism was slightly misaligned. Once it was fixed, the bobbin winder worked perfectly.

How can I fix my bobbin re-winder?

Consult your owner's manual. There is usually a knob or switch to de-activate the needle mechanism and activate the bobbin winder.

If the winder absolutely does not work, you can buy a stand-alone bobbin winder (one brand is called Sidewinder) at the local fabric store or even on the internet for ~$25.

My bobbin won't catch on the bobbin winder, the metal post spins but the plastic singer style bobbin won't spin with it. What's wrong?

The bobbin may be stripped, or the bobbin winder might be stripped; try it with a different bobbin, to rule out the bobbin being the issue; if that doesn't work, look closely at the bobbin winder to see if it has been damaged. You may be able to adjust it's shape with a pliers

Bobbin winder shaft won't spin. LCD says bobbin winding.

Mine stopped working too. Gave up and wound bobbins by hand for a while until I broke down and took the machine apart -- an ordeal to figure out. I found that a pliable ring on the winder was completely disintegrated (gummy plastic-like stuff). An online search found this -- a bobbin "tire" which I THINK is the part I need: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbin-winder-tire-brother-x55238051.aspx. Hope this helps. --Also cleaned all the lint out when I had the machine opened up. They don't make it EASY!

Bobbin doesn't fill in bobbin winder

The bobbin winder question is a frequent one and it is very easy to solve. If you look at the shaft where the bobbin sits on the bobbin winder, you will notice that it has a slot in the middle of the shaft, an opening if you will. This is where you use a flat screw driver and open that space more to give more friction to the bobbin so it is not loose on the shaft. That slot was made for that. There are different bobbins on the market so thats why the slot is there. If it is too tight, grab a pair of pliers and close the gap. The metal of the bobbin winder on that shaft is malleable exactly for this reason. No need to put plastic bag material or anything like that. Use it as it was intended for.
