SOURCE: when i tries to download anything system shows the

I think this is an issue with improper download try using a download manager

Possible Reasons:

1. LP5 means the package is corrupted. This can happen mainly because of some bad download or obsolete package.

2. Obsolete Antivirus

3. Improper Download Software

4. Flash drive

5. Spyware

6. interference from other applications running on the computer

7. During installation of security sites

Possible Solutions:

1. Check For the version of Anti virus

2. Goto control panel /Add Remove Programs/

3. In the list of installed programs we can see the antivirus version.

4. If it is obsolete, uninstall it and reinstall it with the latest one

5. Check For any 3rd party tool that may interfere with the unpacking of software

6. If so un install it.

7. Run Restore disks (or built-in System Restore). It will reinstall the software automatically.

8. Instead of flash drive, use any download manager

SOURCE: Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please

Please search your registry for this exact string. Copy and paste it to your search parameter.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\svdhost.exe

If you have this, it is a Trojan Virus and you need to act quickly to remove it.

It's an oldie, so most good antivirus programs and anti-rootkits should save you.

Other forms of LP5 may be genuine and related to Zip file problems from genuine programs, and are simply corrupted, but somehow I doubt this is the case.

Error while unpacking program, code LP5,please report to author.

It seems to be caused by interference from other applications running on the computer such as AV products. It may also be possible that this Ceedo product you are using is the cause of the problems. Any extra info about how you are trying to run KeyboardTest could help us in troubleshooting the problem.

FACTS ABOUT CODE LP5:
  • Programs as "packed" to reduce space, stop hacking and help prevent pirating of the software.
  • Good packing software is hard to write. So packing is often done using external software protection applications. One of these packages is "Armadillo" from Silicon Realms. Now called Software passport.
  • Protected programs are "unpacked" each time you run them. Normally this is not problem and you never notice it happening. When things go wrong during this process you get the LP5 message like, "Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author".
  • Only Silicon Realms really know what LP5 stands for. But it is enough to know that unpacking failed.
  • Sometimes, very rarely, you get a corrupted download that prevents correct unpacking of the software. The solution here is to get a new download package.
  • Also, very rarely, there is 3rd party software running on the same machine that interferes with the correct operation of the packed application. We saw this when CA's Antispyware had a bug that messed things up. The solution here is to identify the application causing the problem and uninstall it or get the bug fixed. Which is what we did for our software.

This can be caused by a computer virus that prevents a program from unpacking... you may need to have a better antivirus like kaspersky Internet Security 2009, norton antivirus 2009....

Remember not all antivirus can detect virus... some virus can destroy your pc... especially the hard disk...

this two antivirus is what i have tested to be good in protecting the computer from viruses...

Error while unpacking program, code LP5.

I have the same problem "Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author"
Here is the Solution:
1. The number one solution is to disable or turn off your current anti virus for a while or every time you use that program showing "Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author." ,
  • then restart your computer,
  • open the program again which previously having error "Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author."
  • Then after using the program, you can enable or turn on the anti virus.
  • Note: If you will enable the anti virus, the error message to that program will show again; in that case, if you want to use that program again, disable the anti virus again for a while then restart your PC
  • I hope this help you very much. Thank you!
