Hi,
There are many reasons why a dehumidifier willnot work or collect water.
Here is a tip that I wrote to help people to figure out what is going wrongwith their dehumidifier
I don't have the exact dehumidifier as yours, but on mine it's as simple as removing the hose, then the water fills the reservoir. Does it look like yours will do the same? If so, the hose fitting is also a sensor that will shut the unit off when it is full to avoid leaking onto the floor.
call 1-866-629-8241. they are no longer honoring the warranty because the maker of the dehumidifier, fedders, went bankrupt. if you have time on your warranty, they will send you a prorated check. we had two months left on ours and we got a check for $14 and change.
blow some air thru the discharge line,, thats all it is the line is clogged, if the pan is filling with water, it is working but they do get clogged with dust and lint in the air,,
if your dehumidifier is under warranty, call 1-866-629-8241. they are no longer honoring the warranties, because fedders, the company that made the dehumidifiers went bankrupt. but they will prorate your warranty and send you a check. we had two months to go on our warranty and they gave us $14 and change back.
