I would just leave it since it is supported by win7 driver. If it works, leave it.

Otherwise you will need Windows 7 driver from LG if they have one.
Most monitors works fine without the need of the drivers when running XP, but Windows 7 you need the correct drivers to get the correct resolution setting, that is one of the reason I do not care much for Windows 7 until they fix this problem, since a lot of people out there that still have great working monitors that work just fine with XP, most manufacturers do not provide drivers for Windows 7 for old monitors because they want you to buy new monitors.

Try to install the usb driver compatible with your windows 7..

If your external drive also come with its cd installer, try installing the driver for this hardware compatible for windows7.

Win7 is still not fully compatible with many of the exisiting Hardwares....as most of them are old HWs that were mfgd some years ago, it will take a lot of time for Win7 to be fully compatible....
for most HWs it may require a new driver but many mfgrs are not making any new drivers as they plan to mfg new HWs for compatible with Win7.....
the best option is to have dual boot of both XP(C:) and Win7(D:)
that way...you always have the trusted XP to fall back if any issue with Win7...i am having dual boot....

There is no need to install any driver for the monitor as the inbuilt drivers always work with all operating systems and windows 7 have thousands of drivers inbuilt.

The FLATRON L1715S color LCD monitor with auto-synchronous support, plus it is PC and MAC compatible, has features like simple one button auto setup and is VESA DDC2B, DDC1, Plug and Play compatible.
use the 'Auto' adjust button on ur lcd..
howevr, if u want to configure using win xp/vista..right click on ur desktop->properties->settings->increase the 'screen resolution' to minimum: 640x350 or standard: 1152x864 or maximum: 1280x1024 @ 75Hz..
best is to seek professional advice of ur system admin/vendor....

You can try installing this in Windows 7 using compatibility mode and see if it works. Otherwise, just try to contact them directly or try and submit a query about it.
