SOURCE: File Format not supported

You have to be sure that the files are all mp3 files, or wma (windows media audio). Check the rip settings in Windows Media Player. If you rip CD's in a format other than mp3 or wma you will not be able to sync the files to your player. I would suggest sticking with mp3 - as mp3 files are compatible with any player, including ipods.

SOURCE: taking apart a gogear vibe 4gb

I was trying to find a way to take this apart as well, because a soda exploded inside my car while I was away for about 6 hours, and when I came back it was covered in sticky goo, inside and out. After a little fiddling, it was easy to take apart and reassemble.

On the back, remove the barcode sticker, there is a single very small screw. Remove that. You will need a very thin-shafted cross-headed screwdriver. After its removed, take a razor and slide it into the small crack in the casing closest to screw housing, and pop the back off.

After the back is off, there are 4 more screws to remove, 2 black screws near the bottom, and two smaller silver screws on the top, one on each side of the LCD screen. You may need tweezers to remove the smaller silver screws.

After all 4 screws are removed, take your razor and slide it in between the top of the LCD screen and the casing and pop it out. Take note at how it is removed, because it needs to be reinserted the same way.

If you need to remove the directional pad, its a bit tricky. I used my tweezers to pop the two tabs on the left out, and then popped the rest out going clockwise. It takes some time and patience, because the tabs might pop back in.

There you have it. Not difficult at all.

SOURCE: whenever i try to play

"File format not supported" means that the song that you've downloaded into your MP3 player is NOT an .MP3 file format. For each MP3 player have their own supported file formats. You need to check the manual of your MP3 player to see what are the supported sound file formats (i.e. .mp3, .wma, .mp4). Then check the file format of the songs that are saved in your player.

If the songs are supported but you're still getting the error message, try to delete all the songs and then download the songs again and save it into your player. If the same problem occur, then it may need a firmware upgrade or reformat.

Thank you and good luck!

My philips gogear mp3 vibe sends the message "must

First of all have you loaded the gogear from the philips media converter and is the whole space filled up. In some cases there must be a space on the memory as the system may work very slow if the memory is full. Try and delete some files in this case. Also load only safe files that are scanned and has no malwares.
Hope you try this out.

How do I download songs onto my phillips gogear cam

  • Charge your Philips GoGear ViBE for at least three hours before turning it on.
  • 2 Insert the small end of your mini USB cable into your GoGear ViBE. Insert the other end of this cable into one of your computer's USB ports. Turn your GoGear ViBE on by pressing and holding the "Power" button for two seconds.
  • 3 Insert the Philips GoGear ViBE software disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
  • 4 Open "Computer" from the "Start" menu and locate the GoViBE icon to make sure it has been successfully connected to your computer.
  • 5 Navigate to your music files. If you're unsure about their location, start by looking in the "Music" folder under the "Start" menu.
  • 6 Drag and drop your music files from their folder onto the GoViBE icon in your "Computer" window.
  • 7 Right-click the USB icon with the green arrow, located in your taskbar, to disconnect your device. Click "Safely Remove hardware," then wait until your computer confirms that it's safe to remove the device. Disconnect the USB cable from both your computer and your GoGear ViBE.
  • 8 Select the musical note icon from the main menu of your GoGear ViBE to open your music files. Navigate to the sub-folders section, and select a song from either the artist, album, track list or genre. Press the "Play/Pause" button to begin playing a song

I need to know what video format this supports cause it told me mp4 and it doesnt read it, it just says file not supported

Gogear Vibe can be SA1xxx or SA2xxx and the supported video file types are different. I think you have SA2xxx bacause it uses mp4 format. In this case:

To ensure playback of video files such as .mp4:
  • Always use Philips Songbird to transfer the files.
  • Make sure Quick Time (latest version) and Windows Media Player 11 (or higher) has been installed before Philips Songbird is installed.
Visit the following websites for Quick Time and Windows Media Player:
Good luck!

I can't convert my videos to the format that the Philips GoGear Vibe can support.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. Every time i plug in my mp3 it says mtp device found. i dont no what that means.also my mp3 wont show on my computer & wont let me download new music.all that comes up is mtp device found & my mp3...

Hello,

MTP stands for Media Transfer Protocol: it means that the player is switched into the MTP connection mode. Files can be transferred in this mode using a software program.
You can look in the manual, which software program matches your player or get a download from the support site (see below).

When you'd like to transfer media in the explorer in "My Computer": look in the manual how to switch to MSC mode for viewing the player as a removable disc. Transfers in MSC mode are the same as copying files to an external usb flash drive: be sure to have the files in the correct format for the player, before transferring.

All support for the "GoGear Vibe" can be acquired going to next site and select the exact model from the list:
