Using a C3100 series HP inkjet printer, I'm trying to print HP Iron-on Transfer Paper but when I select that option, I cannot get the appropriate reverse image need for ironing on the transfer. What's...

The steps vary by printer. I've got a c7280 installed and the options for me are to click Print > Preferences > Advanced > Mirror image. When you click on Mirror image, you change it from 'off' to 'on'. Click OK to save the setting and print. Be sure to change it back after you're done printing your transfers.

Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
4. Click the Features tab.

from the list.
6. If the selected size is not what you want, click an appropriate size in the Size list.

How print iron on transfers

Yes, you need to "MIRROR" the image. Go to printer properties and select the ADVANCED TAB. Click on the MIRROR setting then print onto the transfer paper. The image should print out backwards like you are looking at it in a mirror. When you iron it onto a shirt, it will come out correct.

How do I select mirror image (reverse image) from HP Photsmart

When you select Print and the Print window opens, select Preferences.

Click on the Advanced tab. Look for the "Mirror Image" option. It should be "Off". If you click on "Off" the drop down menu should appear to change it to "On". Click "OK" at the bottom. Then click "Print" on the Print window.

Don't forget to change it back when you are done. :-)

(Note: If the Mirror Image option is not on the Advanced tab, look on the Effects tab.)

Setting up printer for reverse/mirror printing

I used to use iron on transfers all the time for different things. The setting is usually available whan you attempt to print the image you have different options in properties. Under the advanced tab in printer properties there is something called media type. You can set this to iron on transfer. To locate printer properties in XP for example go to Start>Control Panel>printers>view all printers right click on the printer you intend to use and select properties.
