WELLTECH 40699 FKH51A repair

I have a WELLTECH 40699 FKH51A wireless headphone and replaced the rechargable batteries but it doesn't work. When connected the red en green light on the base station don't light up. On the headphone only the red light burns slightly and all I hear is a static noise. I have used the headphone for many years and it worked fine and wears comfortable, but now it's not working anymore. Who can help me getting it fixed ?

I the red led only comes on dimly, the new batteries are suspect, or they are not charged. You need to establish if its the headphones or the batteries at fault. To check the headphones remove the batteries and connect up some none rechargeable battery of the same voltage to the headphone battery connections. To check the batteries use a multimeter to measure the voltage at their terminals while they are out of the headphones. If its low compared to the value printed on them, you can either try more new batteries again, or replace the headphones completely.

SOURCE: remote will not work

if the light is staying on this means that a button is stuck down on your remote. It might be defective I would contact the company about warranty.

SOURCE: Remote AH5901643G remote not used

Hello
Just look on its battery contacts first, for any rust or dirt accumulated on it. Clean it with a edge of a razor baled and insert batteries and check. If this dose not help you, you have to open it, and clean the contacts. There may be fungus accumulation. Clean it with medical quality turpentine or rectified spirit. Never use strong solvents like petrol or others, as thay will damage the rubber parts. OK.

Thomson wireless Headphones. The red input/power light is not indicating on the base unit where you lodge the headphones. The green charging light is lit up. How can I resolve.

Murdo's tip to trim off the cover of the AA battery base to expose a few mm of metal is spot on. Replacement rechargeable batteries for my Thomson wireless headphones did not charge, no green light, utterly frustrating, till I read Murdho's suggestion. Thanks for that

Have no power supply or charger for base unit philips, SBC HC8442/05. Anyone know where to get replacement cheap??

Not all rechargeable batteries will work instead of original batteries. The right battery should have metal body and not, as some batteries, isolated bottom part (-). Such batteries (which will not work) have a isolation ring around bottom connector. Philips has some kind of electronic check if bottom part is connected (integrated with) sides of the battery. So sides and the bottom of the right battery should be a sort of a can. Check the original battery to understand better what I am trying to explain.

I have 2 sets of Sony MDR-RF970R Wireless Headphones. On set works O.K. The other loses contact with the base intermittantly. Sometimes it reconnects and other times when I operate the headband switch...

Are you using the rechargeable battery that was supplied or have you ever replaced it?

If you're still using the same rechargeable battery then it's probably worth trying a decent set of AAA alkaline batteries or other rechargeable batteries.

If this doesn't solve your problem then you're probably right in the fact that there's a fault or loose connection in the automatic headband switch. The only real repair solution would be to have a look at them yourself as taking them anywhere for repair wouldn't be cost effective.

RCA headphones - nicad or alkaline batteries WHP141

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND INFORMATION
Your wireless headphone unit requires two rechargeable AAA batteries.
Rechargeable batteries are uncharged when you purchase them. Before
you can use the wireless headphones, the batteries must be charged for
16 hours. Follow these steps to install and charge the batteries.
Installing the Rechargeable Batteries
Take care to follow these steps to correctly install the batteries.
1. On the right headphone, locate the battery compartment (1).
Use the finger depression on the compartment to turn the battery
compartment cover counterclockwise to remove the cover.
2. Insert two AAA rechargeable batteries, carefully following the
markings inside to ensure the batteries are inserted properly, with
the + and - ends in the correct positions.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Charging the Rechargeable Batteries
To recharge the headset unit, follow the directions below. Note: The
cradle/transmitter on the WHP141 is not a recharging cradle, although
you may place the headset in the cradle during recharging.
Follow these steps to recharge the NiMH rechargeable batteries.
1. Make sure the ON/OFF switch (2), located on the right headphone,
is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the AC/DC main power adapter to the DC IN power
supply socket (11), located on the back of the cradle/transmitter.
3. Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
4. Connect the charging cable (10), located on the back of the
cradle/transmitter to the recharging input (3), located on the right
headphone. The headphones can either be placed in the
cradle/transmitter or placed next to the unit. If the headphones are
connected correctly, the charging LED indicator light on the
cradle/transmitter (8) illuminate.

Sennheiser TR136 Wireless Headphones Nothing Happens

I had a similar problem - after owning them for 4+ years, no sound we coming out, and no beeps -- nothing. The lights on the charger stand were on though.

I tried buying new rechargable AAA batteries and they were NIMH (nickel metalhydride?) and still didnt work. I borrowed a friend's pair of NICM (nickel cadmium?) AAA rechargables though and the problem was solved!

So, it would seem the some of the new chargable battery types might not work in older models of this unit (which is also called the RS 130 now in the US and Cdn web sites).

Hope this helps!

Sennheiser TR136 Wireless Headphones Nothing Happens

Replace the NiMh batteries. They might be bad. Could happen during power surges as you indicated you had. Let them charge up fully 14-18 hours as the book suggests.
