SOURCE: I have a utilitech 0192773 self adjusting timer
Do not go to Utilitech.com; it's a different company. It's actually at place called TheNCC and is in tiny, tiny print at the bottom of the instructions.
Instead, go to:
http://thencc.com/ncc/support_results.asp?criteria=192773&Submit=Go&SearchRun=RunGo
You should find a PDF for the product and then zoom in to be able to read the instructions. I was not able to read instructions that came in packaging.
SOURCE: i am trying to wire a utilitech 70 watt hps dusk
Lumark makes a 70 watt HPS sold at Lowes
If this is your product:
Add a comment and tell me what color wires are on the back of the HPS, and what color wires you have, and what type of fixture you are replacing.
I will probably be able to help.
SOURCE: How to set utilitech wall timer for dusk/dawn
The Utilitec 0192773 timer has astro dusk-to-dawn functions.
The manual is very unclear at the exact point you need it to say how to set dusk-to-dawn.
The following page has the manual, with explanation how to find the astro dawn-to-dusk setting
http://waterheatertimer.org/Program-wire-Utilitec-0192773.html
When you are programming the timer, press TIME button and hours start flashing.
Press the +/- button ... the trick is to keep pushing the +/- button until it finally gets to astro, and the sun-moon symbol shows on display.
When the sun-moon symbol shows, the display also shows AM.
Press the +/- again and PM show.
So if you want Program1 to turn lights ON at dusk (PM), then your display needs to show: 1 ON PM sun-moon.
To continue setting astro, do not set hours, just press PROG button.
Then repeat the steps above until: 1 OFF AM sun-moon show on display.
SOURCE: Can I use outdoor timer
If outdoor timer is programmable, and does not turn ON automatically at dusk, then timer can be used indoors.
If outdoor timer is activated by photo eye, and turns ON automatically at dusk, then it cannot be used indoors, because the timer turns ON when it senses darkness.
