Last week I went to start the suburban with the remote start and it would start. I used the key and it acted up and wouldn't do anything. After about 30 min I used the key and it started fine. Today nothing and after waiting several hours still nothing? Is there a fuse? Or something killing all power?

Do you have an anti-theft system on this vehicle? If so, place key in the ignition, turn it to the ON position for exactly 10 minutes. As soon as the anti-theft light turns off, then immediately try and start the suv with the key.

The remote start has has a status option for it to know when the car has started and for it to keep it running. Most techs do it the lazy way and just set the option to voltage sense. You have to have a tech hook up the tach wire to the remote start and then program it for tach sense.

The remote starter shuts down when you step on the brake?!? That's exactly what it's supposed to do. To operate a proper "takeover" from the remote starter the key must be turned to ignition on, not accessory.
The car's computer wont let it start?
Well, if you changed the battery and the viper alarm is the issue; locate the push button valet/programming switch. Turn the ignition on, press and release the switch. The alarm will disarm and you can start the vehicle.
To put the alarm in valet, turn the ignition on then off, within 10 seconds press and release the valet switch. The LED will illuminate solid to show that the system is in valet.
