If you believe you have a legitimate Windows XP pro. Meaning you have the original disk, and Product Ket on a Windows sticker on your PC. or maybe a retail purchased copy out of a box, then its legitimate, however you just need to activate the software. If when trying to activate it, it says something like "unable to activate....", then you will need to use activate by telephone, in which you will have to selct your country and you'll have a phone number to cal the aactivations dept. follow the instructions, and when you get someone on the line they will get it activated for you. And that Non Genuine message will go away.

Also did you make sure to get ALL the Windows updates, which will download genuine advantage software in your pc. Or your running illegimate software and need to go by a copy.

These are the only things that can cause your issue. I really don't understand why it hasn't worked for you. Maybe some comments from you, could get you more help, vs. voting me down so low.

What is the solution if there is a word ''you may be a victim of software counterfeiting'' which appear on the right bottom corner of my monitor?

There are two solutions.

Buy a genuine windows CD, or get a windows genuine validation patch.

Once you done either of the above, you will never be prompted for validation, and you can use many more utility and software's which are only for genuine window users.

I am a victim of software counterfeiting

The only way you will ever get to get rid of that annoying counterfeit message is to install a genuine windows software, i.e. you need to purchase a unique windows software/CD for that pc. If you purchase the windows software, then during installation, in which you much boot from CD/DVD drive, you must select repair. That way all your documents will be preserved intact for you. The counterfeit message really simply is saying to you that, “look, this copy of the windows is actually owned by someone else and has been registered as such on Microsoft server.” Microsoft requires that each PC have a unique CD/software.

Go Here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
and download their anti-malware (free will do). Install, update to latest defs and run a full scan. Hopefully this would remove the trojans, if not comeback and we;ll lookup another solution

Victim of software Counterfeiting,Problem

To temporarily bypass the problem you can do a system restore to a date before you started having the problem.
If that does not work, boot to safe mode after downloading and installing HijackThis. Start Hijack this software (utility to modify registry values) and scroll down registry entries to the line that says “020 - Winlogon Nofity: Wgalogon - …” select it, and click fix checked.

If you think that your isystem is counterfeit and you had been victim of a scam you should contact the person that sold you the computer, and then contact Microsoft.

Victim of software counterfeiting

This means the Windows Validation Tool has checked your installed copy of Windows and has found it to be a non-genuine copy. This means the product key is non valid.

Where did you get the PC? If a "friend" installed Windows for you then he is using illegal product keys.

If you are sure your Windows is genuine, you need to telephone Microsoft and fight it out with them.
