First, if the CPU fan is not spinning properly, you should NOT run the system. The fan needs to be replaced.
If the fan is running normally, you may boot by pressing F1.
Before replacing with a new fan, you can first try re-seating the plug for the fan in your computer. The fan's plug may have been bumped or loosed. Re-seat the plug located at J1F1 as shown in the picture below and be sure that it is properly connected.
Which fan is not running? Case fan, CPU fan, PSU fan? CPU fans will cause the computer to shutdown automatically usually with in a few seconds of boot. If it isn't running at all, simply replace it. They are measured in milometers 40, 60 , 80, 90, 120 and some 200mm form factors. Just replace with the same size fan size and you should be up and running again. Comment if you need more help.
mcdevito75 here, Double check all connections, The Monitor could be bad, and not showing a picture, have Staples, best Buy or any computer outlet check it, Monitor can blow out just like a light bulb.
hey, without seeing it its quite hard, if the cpu fan aint running you have either not connected the cpu fan cable up, or connected it to the wrong place, are you sure you fitted the cpu the correct way round when you removed it,
and depending on the processor in the computer make sure you aint damaged any of the pins etc on the cpu.
if you can supply some pictures or something can probably help you better
The fan will only run when needed to cool the computer. Fans normally run at full speed during bootup, but turn to low speed or off after bootup if not needed. Is your computer running hot enough that the fan SHOULD be running?
