I am using view sonic monitor & i am facing a problem with it .At the centre of the screen there is a message in blue colour filled box that"osd lock"its irritating

To unlock your monitor you need to hold two keys simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

In this case for your model you need to press the 1 key and the down arrow key and a message will appear which reads ' OSD Unlock'

· The OSD Lock Out Message

Power your computer completely off and then remove the monitor cable from the port on the back side of the computer case. Reattach the cable and make sure the pins are correctly screwed in all of the way. Power the computer back on and check to see if the OSD lock out message is still being displayed.

Check the manual that came with your computer or monitor and locate the troubleshooting section if you are still receiving the OSD lock out message. Find the OSD lock out heading and read the method that your particular model of monitor uses to remove the lock out. Follow the instructions to remove the lock out.

Attempt generic lock out removal procedures if you no longer have the manual that came with your monitor. Press and hold the "Menu" button located at the bottom end of your monitor for 15 seconds and wait to see if the OSD lock out message disappears.

Press the "Menu" button again if the lock out message remains on the screen. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the main menu options. Highlight the "Settings" or "OSD Menu" option and then hit the Menu key again to access the new list of settings.

Scroll down to the "OSD Lock" heading. Use the arrow keys to change the setting to "No." Hit the Menu key again to return to the main menu. Scroll over to the "Exit" setting and then hit the Menu key a final time to exit the menu setting and remove the OSD lock out

osd lock is on screen configuration menu (on screen display) to clear an osd lock in your view sonic you can try this step
1.disconnect power cord
2.press and hold button 1
3.plug again your power cord
4. press your power button while still holding button 1

d problem is in a transistor costing little, situated near d monitor's osd control ic (microprocessor), it is probably short....[refer the connection n area around the front panel cn connector and crystal clock generator]..
in case case of 45Bn & 55V..look for Controller Reset IC201/IC202 (KA7045/KA7045AP) [it is a small alike transistor 3 pin IC !!] along with the afore said..
and in case of 56V..look for +14V SW. Transistor A1281 & C945 (therein) along with the afore said..
..beware u must b a professional..
contact ur system admin/vendor....

Its an issue with the OSD menu button or the circuit, tap the button a couple of times, it may resolve the issue as it may free up the jammed button. Else its a circuit issue, also check any loose connections. It may need a repair.

Please try to Turn the monitor off. Hold down the Menu button while the monitor is turned off, then press the Power button again to turn the monitor back on. This might unlock your OSD menu and remove that message from your screen. regards

OSD Unlock : Press and hold the [1] and [▼] buttons again for 5 seconds. The message “OSD UNLOCK” will then display briefly, indicating that the OSD image settings are now unlocked.

My view sonic monitor E70fB Model. Without I Press the menu, it always appearing on the Screen. Some times Contrast up/down and osd lock and it suddenly scrollsfor other options.

If I press the exit button, it sometimes exits or agin it occurs.

So please kindly solve this problem

1. change the micro switchs in control panel.
