My maytag washer will spin after the wash cycle but after the rinse cycle to final spin it will not spin them dry and leaves half the water in i let it sit a while and go back and put on all spin cycles tell one works thanks send me a fix it solution Linda

Engage your lid switch so that washer will spin in spin cycle and watch it spin. At end of cycle when washer shuts down the tub should come to a fairly sudden stop if it doesn't then you need to have the brake worked on. If it does post your model number and i'll advise further.
Do you hear the motor activate during the expected spin cycle? If yes, then there might be a gearbox or clutch assembly issue. If not, it might be as simple as the safety switch not being engaged as the rest of the cycles might operate properly even if the safety switch is not engaged.
If the washer totally shuts down when the spin cycle begins, look at the safety switch circuit.

see if you can help the tub start spinning when trying in spin setting...if trying to turn or turns some and stops most likey clutch slipping
