I suspect you have a bad battery in the portable device. Perhaps you can look online for disassembly and replacement instructions, and also to obtain a replacement battery. E-bay is a good place to start to find a battery.

I need detailed instruction on how to put a Eclipse V215 mp3 player back together. The warranty already expired so I'm fixing it on my own.

try having windows media player or winamp scan it. some mp3 players wont work as usb drive. ONly as media player add on.

go to www.iriveramerica.com. click on support, then ultra portable support, then T10. download user manual. You should also be able to download a music manager for loading music onto your player from the website. Windows media player works well. you can also use Rhapsody.
