SOURCE: Zebra S600 printer continues calibrating

The factory default settings for the S600 is to auto calibrate every time the printhead is closed and every time the power is cycled. If the media sensor is not positioned correctly for the media you are using the label size will not be detected during a calibration. You mentioned the media has no markings, doe sthe media have a space between the labels? If so, the media sensor may not see the gap in the labels adn therefor is not calibrating properly or not calibrating at all. Check the media sensor position. I have found that the media sensor must be at least 1" from the inner wall of the printer so it doesn't see the edge of the backing in oder to read the size of the labels.

SOURCE: My Zebra z4m plus

in the setup menu there is an option to choose what the machine does on powerup and head close. Yours is probably set to calibrate. Just change that setting to "none". Same thing with the pausing. there is a setting to pause after printing each label. Just change that option.

Dont want calibrate

Check to make sure that the media sensors are properly aligned. Being out of alignment is most common cause of non-calibration on Zebra's. See here for my tip: http://www.fixya.com/support/r4500516-locate_align_media_sensors_zebra_xi

I can't get my zebra lp 2844 to work. what do i do?

First thing you need to check power is coming to printer or not.
If power is coming check printer is feeding properly or not when you press feed button it should feed one blank label.
If it does not feed label then calibrate printer from driver or press feed button and switch on printer hold feed button for 2-3 seconds and leave it .It will calibrate and print test page.

Hi, we have tbl 2844-z and trying to calibrate but the ribbon never starts at the right beginning of the label, how to calibrate?

To calibrate, press and hold the green feed button until it flashes 4 time and let go, it will reset the factory defaults and calibrate. If the print is starting lower on the lable than you want, you will need to adjust the label layout from the application.

Zebra 140Xill problem

Whenever you open the printhead, the Pause led will light.

If you hit the Pause button, the printer should go back on-line and resume printing (if you didn't turn it off).

If that doesn't work, try the calibration button (labels will feed out), then the Pause button, then the Feed button.

If you don't want to toss too many labels when you calibrate, the "maximum label length" (or some name like that) can be adjusted through the front panel.

Calibration

If the media sensor is positioned correctly and the printer is set for an autocalibration on power up and printhead close a manual calibration is not really needed. However, here is the information that is the easiest way to run a manual calibration.

Manual Calibration

With the printer at a ready state, press the MODE button two times or until the CALIBRATE light comes on.

Press the FEED button.

Once this is complete press the MODE button four (4) times to save these settings.
