Hi, I would check the connections to and from the monitor. There will be 16 pin connecter. Make sure the pins are not damaged bent or broken. replace with same cable. Go to your local computer store and buy new cable. Good luck.

Normally, on mixers, Effects do NOT go to Monitors.
What you have to do is
(check if there is a control for "EFF to MON" before)....
*Make a cable bridge from EFF OUT to any channel of your inputs.
*Now you can send the EFX to monitors as you would any signal.
Be mostly happy....

This model has a "Monitor Mode" feature that allows you to listen for weak signals on the current channel at the press of a key.
1.) To turn ON monitor mode:
Press and hold the volume/monitor up or down key. The rx icon will blink.

2.) To turn OFF monitor mode:
Press the volume/monitor up or down key. The rx icon will stop blinking.

You do not need the software to run dual monitors. WIndows 7 has this feature built in.

More likely to be metric M4 screws, 1/2" will more likely to be long enough.

Check all the cables, if it is not the cables being loose, then it is a component inside that is starting to fail.

You will have to check and make sure that your video graphics hardware will support the dual option. If not, you will have to purchase a PCMCIA video graphics adapter that supports a second monitor.

This computer uses a PCIe-16 slot, so any half-height dual-monitor card with DVI would do for you. The XFX Geforce 7200GS with 256MB memory has dvi and vgb outputs. It supports the resolution of your 20" Syncmaster, and is around $40 at Newegg.com at this time.

You cant use 2 monitors as just 1. You can do dual monitors, or mirrored monitors.

You may be interested in a FREE product called multimon. It will make a task bar on your second monitor, and add a nice feature near the "X" close buttons to move your applications from 1 monitor to the other.
