27F520T RCA Truflat, won't scan for channels, auto or manual, only blue screen, no channels on tv

I have a 27F520T RCA TruFLat tv. It has been unplugged for a while. I have plugged cable into it and it will not find channels. All I get is a blue screen. Have tried to auto scan and manual scan, no channels appear. Plug other tv in and get good pictue, cable connections good and tight, what do I do????

    pretty much the same problem. Just got this tv from a friend with no instructions. Have scanned on auto search three or four times. get about 4 channels with weird numbers like 197-44, 123-23. What is that? Anyway every time I use the channel up buttons after search is complete all I get is " unusable signal". HELP

You need to replace the microprocessor. GoodLuck there is 52 pins to unsolder and resolder a new one. The price for the chip may bee about $35

It wont auto program channels,i have to do manually and when i turn tv off it loses all channels again
The main system memory IC to your TV is faulty. It should be replaced. It is a very small IC, having 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control IC.

Just check this TV by connecting it to on-air programs. Connect external antenna to it, and make an auto tune function. Refer to its user manual for details. If TV do not tune in to on-air channels too, the tuner to your Tv should be checked and replaced. If it receives on-air channels, and only cable channels are missing, you must contact the service provider to your cable connection.

When I hook up the cable to the RCA truflat tv the screen stays blue. I had it working with a cable box, do you know why it's not working with just the cable?
Your cable system is probably digital, and the tuner in this TV isn't compatible with the system. The cable box output was a regular TV channel 3 or 4 signal the TV could tune in. Without the box, though, your TV's tuner sees nothing. You'll need to stick with the box.
