Unable to install driver for device.
First of all you need to check whether the lock behind your scanner is open or not. If not, unlock it.
Two, if the secure lock has been opened already, but the system is still incapable of identifying your USB device, you can check if you have installed a scanner driver or if the driver is correct for your device.
Step 1 Find out your scanner model.
Step 2 Check Scanner driver in the Device Manager sheet.
Step 3 If you have not installed a driver yet, or the driver is incorrect, search on the website and download the supporting and latest driver for your USB scanner. Before installing the driver, uninstall the incorrect one. Note that when you install the driver, make sure it works well with your system.
Three, you can try to swap your scanner onto another USB port. Because if the cable order in this port is not right, it would also generate the failure above, which often happens in the motherboard's front USB port.
Four, your motherboard might not be compatible with your scanner's port, so you are unable to find out this device in your computer. To cancel it, you need to check the model of your motherboard chipset, download its latest driver or the corresponding motherboard USB patch from the website and then install this driver or patch.
