This is because you won't be able to read or understand what's on the phone menu since its not yet in English language.

Click menu, go to tools. Tools has a spanner symbol. Its the first icon on the second line of your phone menu.

Click settings. Settings, also has a spanner symbol. Its also the first icon on the second line of the Tools menu.

Click General. General is the first on the list under settings.

Click personalization. Personalization is also the first on the list under General. It has a paint symbol/icon with red, green and blue dots.

Scroll down by pressing the down navigation button four (4) times and you will get to language.

Click it and the first option on the list is "Phone language". Press it and you will see a list of your phone languages, scroll to English and select it and that would be all.

Follow the above direction and you will certainly get to English language under the phone language.

Good luck.

I am vacationing in the USA from Switzerland. I just purchased a Nokia E71 cell phone and it is configured in English. How to change the language to French language?

Press the "Menu" button and locate the "Settings" (should look like a spanner), press "Ok" or "Select", once it's opened, locate the "phone settings" (it looks like a phone receiver or like a mobile handset) using the up and down key, open it and then the again select the first from the list (that should be theLanguage settings), once it's opened, you'll see the english language written in english as "English", select it [or you can just select "Automatic" if it's default language was "English"]. Now, the language of your mobile will change back to English.

If you need further help, let me know with more details.

Good luck.

A. To change the display language back to English, please perform the following steps:

1. Press the right arrow 2 times, press the OK button (you should be in the System Setup menu).

2. Press the OK button again (you should be in Language).

3. Press the right arrow until you see something that may be English, press OK button. The menu is a continuous loop, so if you miss it the first time the option will return.

Nokia e71 keypad

This all depends on whether you want to change the physical keyboard or the language keyboard.

Both of these require you to hand your phone in to the Nokia Service Center and you will be charged for them changing the keyboard.

The language pack installed on your phone can be changed to an English QWERTY and the physical keys can be changed too. I'm sure if you need to have both physical and language keyboard switched they might put the both together for a package deal, you'll have to discuss this with the Nokia Service Center.

This is the only method at this moment, I'm sure if you can put up with your non-English qwerty keyboard for a while then there might be a hack to enable or change to an English language pack sometime in the future.

I can't chang the lagguange as i dont understand russian

If you bought the laptop in russia it is probably running a russian version of windows. You can get an english version of windows and reinstall ms office if you like or you can reboot the laptop and when it comes to language settings choose english version of windows. Unless you can read russian or know someone who does it will be difficult to change it. But ms office should give you a language option when you install it. Try uninstalling it then reinstall it and make sure you read each and every page before you click on next I to had this same problem with ms office and when I uninstalled and reinstalled I found I had somehow missed the option for language in my windows version only mine was chinese instead of english. Once changed it was all in english
