I WISH I HAD SOME ANSWERS ON THIS ONE, BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR PUMP MIGHT NEED REPLACING. HOW OLD IS YOUR WASHER? IT WOULD BE CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW WASHER. BUT IF IT IS THE PUMP, THEN YOU CAN BUY A NEW PUMP FROM WHERE YOU BOUGHT YOUR WASHER. GOOD LUCK.

Hi, I have a Maytag Alantis Washer (model: MAV

Does it not spin just in the final cycle or not at all during the wash cycle? Also, does the wash cycle agitate normal?

Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Model MAH4000AWW low last spin

two problems here,
your shaft seal is running on its last leg
the sound is unmistakeable and always described the same...
the water issue, you probably have a trickle leak through the cold water valve
the mixing valve is quite an easy repair, but I would have to say with all honesty, it probably time for a new machine
the hub seal is a tub replacment call
2 hrs of labor if hes good
and the tub runs around 500.00 dollars
sory for the bad news

Maytag clothes washer, with pump and belt replaced in Nov. 2007, clothes were too wet after spin cycle

The start of the spin cycle is dependent on the pump pumpin out water and the later level switch sensing that the water level is low enough. The water level switch has (usually) a clear tube connected to it and is found in the control panel. You will want to check continuity at different times. First you will fill the tub to the highest water level. Then unplug the machine. By screwing in the screw on the water level switch. Scew it all the way in. then you will check continutity. there should be no cont. between green and brown. and there should be cont between green and black or yellowblack. Do this continuity test with the wires off the switch. Once this test is complete, reattach the wires and plug in the machine and set the timer on spin or drain. When the tub is pumped dry, stop the spin cycle and unplug the washer and do the continuity test again. This time you should have continutiy from green to brown. and no continuity from green to black or yellowblack. Now when i mention the colors that means the placement where those wires were. Make note before you remove them so that you can get them back to place. If you do not get these readings, the water level switch is bad, or there is a leak in the air pressure tube leading to it. At that point I would replace the entire switch and tube. I wish you the best of luck.

Washer trips circuit while filling tub

Sound like the inlet valve coil may be shorted. Remove console and check wires from water valve to control. If wires look ok, the inlet valve has a problem

Spinning fast and furious, just doesn't wring clothes dry

It sounds like you need a water pump!
See if it's pumping water next time you do load by looking at the discharge hose going to the drainage pipe and get back to me!
