Trying to set temp on honeywell t-stat

Trying to set temp on a Honeywell RT2300B1012/A thermostat. temp is set on 65 and on hold. Tried to set to 75 and hold but reverts to 65 within seconds. Dos not appear to be user friendly.

I believe what your experiencing is the 75 degrees is the hold temp position...the display then reverts back to the actual room temperature...it doesn't mean the set temperature changed back to 65 degrees. Try to reprogram the thermostat schedules, and try not to use the hold function...just the temporary hold. (which is bumping the programmed temperature up or down until the next programmed period)

My Honeywell thermostat won't set the heat above 75 degrees

ok fist thing is to press and hold the middle lower button and the arrow up at the same time and hold until the screen changes to a number. keep hitting next until you see 75 appear then arrow up to the temp you want and press done. That easy!

Sounds like the programming on your thermostat needs to be reconfigured, but I need more information like the Honeywell Model number which can be found behind the front cove, but becareful to unsnap the t-stat properly not to damage the pins that connect t-stat to its base.

I have an existing honeywell thermostat - 4 wire hook up. I added a honeywell humidistat. I hooked it up for series operation meaning when we leave the house in south Florida for the summer, the humidstat...

That 's a really good idea. My question would be is that a two wire humidistat? If it is. you would have to parallel the wires. One wire on the "R" on the thermostat and the other would go on "Y" and jumper to "G". Really interesting , I would like to know if it works. I live in Okla. and we have real high humidity summers but probably not like Florida. Hope this helps you.

TH8110U1003 Touch screen thermostats. My problem is I don't have a manual to show me how to operate it. But the big problem I'm dealing with now is when I set a temp. say I set it for 75 and the house...

If your program that you have programed into the stat is set to 73 it will go back to that setting if the stat is in the program mode....... Push the HOLD button on the stat and keep pushing it till it say permanent HOLD right above the buttons on the bottom and then you can set your temp to what you want. Here is a download link for the manual from Honeywell..

Honeywell rlv430 is wired in correctly, yet one baseboard heater is always on, regardless of the temp Its set at

Need to start with comparing the temp in the room to the temp the heater is set to. A t-stat will read +/- the actual temp. If their not even close, then the heater will run trying to reach the temp the t-stat is set to.

Honeywell 5-2 Programmable Thermostat wont turn on

I'm assuming the screen is not blank, and that you can select heat/cool and nothing happens. If it's battery operated then there probably is an issue beyond the t-stat. Technicians normally remove the G or Y wire from the thermostat, then jumper or touch the G or Y wire to the wire that's connected to the R terminal. If the indoor or outdoor unit engages, then the t-stat is/may be the issue. Lots of help out there for testing/bypassing a thermostat. If you're t-stat is battery operated, there is probably an issue that's at the inside unit, like a low voltage short that opened the low voltage fuse, or many other reasons that would cause this scenario. I'm not sure if this will help you, bit you may need a technician if it's not the t-stat.

Cannot set heat setting by using "hold" feature

make sure it is not telling you room temp, some of the Honeywells, will display room temp over desired temp. check that, if it wont let you switch temp than buy a new one, if you dont have a heat pump a new cheap stat is around 20.00.

My furnace cycles too often. Do I suspect that my Honeywell digital thermostat (Model CT3500A) Smart Recovery features are faulty? How to you adjust the sensitivity? Thanks!

recovery has nothing to do with on off on off. you have a new digital stat that holds an exact to the degree temp a change of a half a degree can bring it on.. so stat needs to be above main return 5 feet off floor. away from any drafts , doors supplys etc. also be sure the hole in the wall is sealed . the cold air in the wall is more than enough to make stat come on . they are incredibly sensitive.an old mercury bulb stat would have a swin g of 3 or 4 degrees . so set at 75 it may heat up to 78 and stay off till temp fell to 73 so you get a longer run cycle or and longer off cycle. the new ones are on off on off keeping a perfect temp 75 exactly. thory is the heat exchanger is already hot and a quick short cycle is more efficient than being off 20 minutes and reheating the heatexchanger from scratch again. having said that if you look aT the installer set up instructions that came with the stat it may give you an option to reset or adjust the stat so it will have a one (default) two, or three degree adjustment , so 75 equals up or down three degrees on call for heat.see honeywell toll free number in their literature
