It it under warranty. Register it, take it back and insist, even though they say Mophie will replace it, I don't think they can do that. Or you can just start a warranty claim online

this should just work. It will just take a long time to charge, since the car charger probably only delivers 5V 1 amp. This can take more than 24 hours with such a big battery bank. Also make sure that the car is turned on, otherwise it will not charge.
Try burying the entire phone in bag of regular, uncooked rice. Leave your device completely covered in rice for 1 week. The rice will absorb all moisture. If still does not work after a week put back in rice and wait a few more days. It will dry out. Be patient. It works.
Use a paperclip to short the two terminals in the usb output Jack. The two at the opposite sides of the jack. I have to do it before almost every charge.
If it's flashing all lights fast at same time....don't worry. My mophie juicepack powestation does this all the time and refuses to take any charge. I bend a paperclip into a u shape and short the pins in the usb output Jack for not even a second. Quick touch is all that is needed. NO LONGER OR RISK DAMAGE OR FIRE. Resets the chip inside. Charges fine then.
I had the same issue. I was able to trim the cable shell to get it to insert further and take better hold. I suspect some cables may work better than others but the design is poor as they have the jack on a curved corner. Had they angled it a little it would work better and actually work. They should also include a screen protector for the price. The case scrapes off standard protectors because of the tight fix, though the tight fit is good. I actually love the product though as it actually works. Just not enough real world testing.

The Mophie has no influence and can't influence the actual content on your iPhone, there is another reason, please indicate anything strange/out of the usual you did previously.
