My dishwasher will not run, door is locked, power to plug, was working in the morning and then not in the afternoon.

I have the exact same problem - started a cycle and checked it later only to find that it apparently died shortly after the cycle started - there is no power to the unit at all. No circuits were tripped, the outlet has power (plugged in a light to test it), but absolutely no response. Very sad if this is a $1300 dead weight.

I have the same issue was working fine and is pretty new. Is it a board or a sensor?

  • needamiracle Mar 02, 2008

I started it and opened it during the initial scanning. It instantly shutdown no lights working on button panel. This happened once before. My 1 yr old fixed it by randomly pushing buttons. Thought maybe theres a certain button sequence to push to activate it again.

I have an old kitchenaid kdc-21a and can't find a wiring diagram to trouble shoot the problem. The unit has power but will not turn on. Any info would be helpful thanks, Andy.

More than likely the door catch switch or the on off button, check these 2 first

Have proffesional series dishwater about 3 yrs old, went to use it and it would not come on as if no power but wall outlet has power (checked with hairdryer). it had been working fine no problem

If you notice the dishwasher is dead, then most likely the thermal cut off has triggered. This is to prevent the dishwasher when there is an overheating of the heater or the motors.

You will need to provide the full model number of the dishwasher to help find the problem.

Wii worked fine yesterday. Will not power up

This is a common problem with the Wii. Considering how often I see this problem, I'm amazed Nintendo didn't address it in their FAQ on the Wii. It happens almost every time there is a power surge or the power goes out, etc.

Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector, this happens. Power comes back on, but the Wii appears dead. It won't turn on, and the LED indicators won't light. If there was a power surge, or the power went out,etc...anything, this will happen. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself.

You need to reset the AC adapter to get the Wii to work again. There is a circuit inside the AC adapter that needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up.
