The light in my water and ice dispenser needed to be replaced. When I replaced the bulb the bulb blew and I lost all power to my dispenser panel.
Did you replace the bulb with one of the same voltage rating? Seems strange that a new bulb should blow straight away, maybe it was faulty. This sounds like a blown fuse.
Get the parts catalogue here http://safemanuals.com/user_guide_instru... It shows an exploded view of the dispenser panel. Look at page 14 part number 83, this is a 7A fuse that you should be able to replace easily. Good luck
I dont think there is anything special about the fuse or bulb. Try a smaller electrical store or domestic appliance repair shop, they will know exactly what you are talking about. You'll need to take the 7A fuse because theres 3 or 4 different lengths and also the bulb which is 115V,4W but the guy will need to see the screw size. A spotty teenager on customer service at Home Depot will NOT be able to help :) Thanks for the rating. Regards.

This is a model number MRS26LGJ and is about 7 years old
I have found the fuse any suggestions where I might buy one and also a 4 w bulb. Lowes and home depot do not stock even though they sell the product.
