Latest bios for hp 540

I reinstall my latest bios in my hp 540 notebook... i just need to have the latest bios for it or how can i reinstall that bios... plesae help me

Befor installation you need to follow the following steps

1. Start your laptop and press F10 continuously to go to BIOS setup.
2. Go to "System Configuration" -> "Device Configurations"
3. Set "SATA Native Mode" to Disabled.
4. Start the installation while keeping a finger on "F7" key.
5. After some time there will be continuous beeps.
6. Remove your finger for sometime and then continuously press "F7" key till the beeps are repeated. This is done to disable your BIOS ACPI.
7. And then do you normal Xp installation.

Screen goes black. Put it in sleep mode. Then hit the start and it comes back on even with powercord in..what can fix it?

this could be probably due to static charges or corrupt bios settings.
Turn off the PC, disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the battery. Now press and hold the power button for 45 seconds.
Now download and install the latest BIOS update available for your notebook from manufacturer's website. If issue persists, reinstall the display drivers.

This issue could be due to corrupt Touchpad drivers or corrupt Touchpad sensitivity settings or corrupt BIOS settings. To isolate this issue, please perform the steps provided below: 1. Uninstall and reinstall touchpad driver on the notebook. 2. Decrease the Touch Sensitivity of the Touchpad. If you are using Windows Vista on your notebook then you can follow the steps listed below for decreasing the touch sensitivity of the touchpad: a. Click Start and type ?Mouse? without quotes in Search field. b. Click on Mouse from the results list. c. This will open d. Click on Tapping tab in the Mouse Properties window. e. Click the Touch Sensitivity Button to launch Touchpad settings. f. Move the slider to the desired setting (in between Light touch to Hard touch) This will adjust the Touch sensitivity of the touch pad. Now check for the issue. 3. If the issue persists, then update BIOS on your notebook. To update BIOS, go to the HP drivers download page for your notebook model and then download and install the latest available BIOS update.

I would suggest try reinstalling latest graphics drivers first.

Check the below HP link select the operating system and downloa the graphics driver for your notebook.

I should help and also update the latest BIOS version. as I dont know your current OS otherwise i would have given u the correct softpaq for the same.

1.Download the latest wireless driver for computer (7.20 REV:A, 2/20/09) - Might change depending on your CPU, (7.20 REV:A is for AMDs)
2.You will also need to download the latest Bios (F.42, 3/9/09)

My HP Pavilion Entertainment webcam issues

First uninstall the drivers and then download the latest bios update for your notebook from hp.com and then restart the computer.... then install the latest updated drivers for webcam from hp.com and check this will surely work.
If not then check for quickplay driver update too.
Another thing open task manager and then go to processes and check wethere you can find the webcam running or not if yes then right click and end the task , also check for the programs that might use webcam like if you have installed yahoo or skype messenger end the program task too.

When I shut down my HP Pavillion dv 5 1233 se, the power light contunues to blink. How can I fix this?

To reinstall power management in windows Vista operating system: 1) Click on start and type device manager in search field. 2) Click on device manager in the list. 3) Click + next to system devices. 4) Right click on folowing controllers and select un install one by one. Uninstall only the options that are available in the notebook from the following options. a) ACPI Fan b) ACPI Fixed feature button c) ACPI Thermal Zone d) ACPI compliant system Restart your notebook after uninstalling all above controllers from device manager. Operating system will install new drivers automatically on restarting notebook.Then need to install the latest BIOS for your notebook model to get rid of the issue.

Hp quickplay button issues - dv9000

Ok the problem lies within the software. You may need to update the driver. Yes drivers tell this device added what to do. So log onto HPs website, download the updated version. This should help, if this does not help it then becomes hardware, which is better off leaving alone do to the expense.

Unidentified devices

Although SP2 is improved, the device drivers can still be used from the original CD to initialize drivers. Insert this CD when prompted to update drivers.
