Since you didn't give the model of your VTech 2.4GHz system I can only answer in general terms. On most models you can turn up the ringer volume by pressing the up-arrow or + key while in standby mode. You can turn up the speaker volume by pressing the up-arrow or + key during a call.

If you need a manual, enter the model number into the search box at http://www.vtechphones.com/support/general/manuals

SOURCE: Low battery

You need to buy new batteries for your phones. Large retailers charge $10-12 per battery but you can usually find them for closer to $4 online at amazon.com or eBay.

Does your handset have a PROG button? Press that, then press the VOL+ button until you come to RINGER VOL: OFF. Press SELECT button, then use the ^ (VOL+) key until you get the desired volume level. Press SELECT again, then OFF. You're good to go.

The described problem is not a settings problem and is probably a internal malfunction. Try consulting Vtechs support center.
